2020 Presidential Race

30 minutes? Damn. Iโ€™ll never participate if I ever get called.
Yeah, I was in the room when they called. They spent a few minutes explaining who they were and what they were doing and going over privacy protections. Then read about 25-30 questions. Seemed like it took about 30 minutes.

This is looking more and more like a complete renunciation of Trump. Maybe as many as 7 or 8 million votes. Makes it more likely Trump will try the red mirage strategy. Those GOP officials who might side with his last ditch desperation strategy to hang onto power should be aware they subject themselves to criminal charges if they do.

RealClearPolitics - Biden vs. Trump Compared to Clinton vs. Trump (2-way)

Four years ago today it was Clinton + 6 and today its Biden + 9.8 !!! Almost 4 points higher advantage. As a percentage, its roughly a 60 percent higher advantage.

In 2016 Trump was + 0.4 in Fla, now its Biden + 2.4.

In Michigan it was Clinton + 3.6, now its Biden + 5.8.

North Carolina was Trump + 0.8, now its Biden + 1.2.

Pa. was Clinton + 2.1, now its Biden + 6.5.

And remember, a lot of the polling services reevaluated after 2016 and configured things to give an edge to Trump in 2020 numbers. So if anything his position is slightly inflated this time.

Strategy is very clear now. Call filling a vacancy to an opening in the nine member court โ€œcourt packingโ€ and โ€œunconstitutional.โ€ Neither of which are actually true, but it will provide excellent cover when they actually unconstitutionally court pack in 2021.

Dems have a long history with words and variable meanings.

Joe Biden is every bit as bad a guy as trump is except I think trump makes better decisions on the important things
Unfortunately it seems almost everyone, regardless of side, is choosing what they consider to be the lesser of two evils. Thatโ€™s sad.

He got beat iirc by 3 million votes and won the electoral college in 2016 after being down in every poll right up to the election. Color me skeptical, obviously hopeful but skeptical nonetheless

How many time do we have to explain? It's like a football game - doesn't matter how many yards each team may accumulate, the winner is still the one with the highest point total. If you want to win, concentrate on how you get the greatest number of EC votes; it shouldn't keep coming down to a surprise for your team how the counting is done. BTW it's done the way it is to prevent a handful of states from running the country - the surest way to civil war because a lot of us absolutely disagree with the stupidity emanating from places like CA.

Your disappointment when Trump wins will be beautiful to behold. The good news is you wonโ€™t be alone.

Probably the worst news for Trump is way fewer undecided voters.

Thats why I think he acted like a buffoon in the debate. He can't win anyone new over. But his base likes him not following the rules, being a bull in a China shop, and being a bully. So he played the part.
