I mean this in all charity, UEM. It ain't that big of a deal. Some of us feel that it wouldn't be the most advantageous, but it will all be OK. There is a senate as a firewall to anything too earth shattering. Let's not be the opposite side of the "election day screaming freak-out meme" coin.Plus... you commies have screwed my life over by voting these assholes in...so screw you.
Tie goes to the incumbent, I do believe?
Executive Orders...Obama loved him some Executive Orders...Kommiemala will too.I mean this in all charity, UEM. It ain't that big of a deal. Stay cool and keep truckin', brother.
If it’s tied the house votes for the President. They must vote for someone in the top 3 national vote count. Each state house delegation gets one vote. Trump would win since more state delegations are Republicans if they vote accordingly. The Senate votes on a VP.Crazy thought. Could the House vote Pence over Trump for the seat or does the vote have to be between Biden and Trump?
Dang. So 2020.Not quite. The senate would vote to elect the vp from the two vp nominees who garnered the most votes. Each senator gets one vote. The house would vote to elect the president from the three presidential candidates who garnered the most votes. Each state delegation in the house would receive one vote. The Republicans control a majority of state delegations in the house along with the senate majority. If they all vote party lines, Trump/Pence would be elected. That is assuming there are no faithless electors in the electoral college. There were 10 in 2016. Three of which were cancelled due to state laws prohibiting faithless electors. Seven actually voted for someone else.
I knew about the state delegation part just wasn't sure about the other. But that is assuming delegations fall in line with party. Which you would assume that happens but ya never knowIf it’s tied the house votes for the President. They must vote for someone in the top 3 national vote count.
