2020 Presidential Race

State government is supposed to reflect the will of the people in each given state. Federal government is supposed to reflect the will of the states. What is so hard to understand about United STATES?
How about this.......the total vote reflects how accurately the electoral vote actually reflects the will of the people within those states. Better?
If one state goes red by a 49.8 to 49.785 margin, and another state goes red by a 70 to 30 margin, is the will of those states the same? The states are nothing more than their citizens.
What is so hard to understand that it is always ultimately about the citizens?

“Makes sure her name is put first”

Thank you for proving my point. Willing to bet dollars to donuts those people have never seen Abrams work behind the scenes. She's a politician, she sits in an office and shows up for photo ops. Oh and self congratulating tweets.

And it's her tweet, so her name does come first.

Good analysis, and is best we can hope for.
But, based on the lack of support for Trump from the Republican party during his term is my main concern. Have you seen a concerted effort from them over the election fraud?
I'm afraid we can't count on that 52/48 advantage.
Republicans in the Senate greatly supported him on SCOTUS nominations and that's a good thing. Mitt was a disappointment. Susan Collins saw that they didn't need her vote so she decided to go the route of maintaining her seat for the party. Damn good move.

I'm telling you guys . . . 52-48 is not a given with the 2 Georgia seats going to a runoff in January. I feel OK about the David Perdue race, but Kelly Loefller is not a good candidate and Rafael Warnock is pretty impressive.

If it's 51-49, whatever. At least McConnell controls the votes and Republicans control the committees. I agree, nothing's a given

Instead of blaming voter fraud, I really hope Republicans take an introspective look into their own party. Trump will be a footnote in history, but the party will continue and they have to become more central. The suburban votes in this election prove that. People don’t like extreme rhetoric on either side of the aisle.
I've been wishing this of both parties for a long time. Winning doesn't mean Dems have magically figured something out. They're just as much in need as Republicans are at taking that deep introspective look. People need to wake up and demand better.

But they won't.

People are definitely demanding better from Democrats, they just aren’t listening. If that doesn’t change we’ll end up with another Trump in 4 years
