2020 Presidential Race

Would be interesting to know what your former Secret Service agent-friend considers "personal integrity." If you know anything about Nixon then surely you understand the man was a sexist xenophobe who had deep insecurities that led to him hiring squads to do his dirty work for him. Finally, when people refused to lie and cover up for him, he fired them.

My comparison is based on both Trump and Nixon's relentless attack on the mainstream media, how both tried to frame themselves as "the president of law and order," and how both depended on what Nixon termed the "silent majority" for support.

Well, I'd say I know a fair amount based on reading books by and about him. Listening to interviews. but apparently you think you knew him better than anyone saying he was all these horrible things.

But I'll stick with the man pledged to guard him with his life, was a member of the opposite party and was around him for a number of years including through the bad days.

Additionally, my friend joined the Service after retiring as a CSM from the Army after serving in Vietnam. I'd say if he personally knew someone and said they had high integrity, he certainly gets the benefit of any doubt.

How about this.......the total vote reflects how accurately the electoral vote actually reflects the will of the people within those states. Better?
If one state goes red by a 49.8 to 49.785 margin, and another state goes red by a 70 to 30 margin, is the will of those states the same? The states are nothing more than their citizens.
What is so hard to understand that it is always ultimately about the citizens?
And you still fail to understand the way our government works.

We are the united states. Not the united peoples republic of america.

The states themselves are entities unto themselves beyond the people in them. It's why we have the two houses. One where the states themselves are equal, and one where the people are equal.

If the gov't has bypassed the will of the people and begins assigning us our leaders? It's not worth it?

I guess, if it ever proves to be the case, that's what they'd be counting on.

The only way to fight it would be a revolution. It wouldn't be a revolt against the government, though. It would be a Republican citizen vs. Democrat citizen affair. It would be civil war among the "civil"ians. Half the people legitimately voted for Biden. And the fraud that may have been (read probably was) perpetrated was done by civilians, not the government. And if courts legally can not find justification for overturning the election results, what are we to do?

I would encourage you to watch the documentary "Nixon by Nixon" if you haven't yet.

SamReb! Been a long time how are you?

Is it? Have you always checked every single category on the ballots?
Yes. I make a point to do it in every election. I researched the best I can on everything.

I'll be honest, when I first voted, I thought it was required lol. I had a scantron mindset.

Pandemic or no pandemic, mail in voting was a ridiculous idea that made it easier for Biden to take down Trump.

If you’re too lazy to vote in person then your vote shouldn’t really matter in the first place.

It would be lovely to see the proud boys and 3% mowed down on the White House lawn by the military.

Let’s try a different way , since my last post was apparently too strong .. it’s not smart and ( IN GENERAL ) and extremely dumb idea ( IN GENERAL ) to want to see US citizens shot by our Military . SMDH

Hilarious. Trump has been working this angle for months now and his base is falling for it hook, line, and sinker. First he refused to fund the USPS, calling it unreliable and urged his base to vote in person. Thus he KNEW the majority of the mail in ballots would be Biden votes, giving him a chance to point at the mail in ballots and cry foul and corruption. He has been setting this up for MONTHS. He knew this was going to happen, this was his strategy all along. He's a loser.
Again, how is it different than the left buying Russia collusion hook, line, and sinker? The at least partially funded by Hillary Steele dossier, the FBI investigation, questionable FISA warrants...are you telling me that wasn't set up in advance? People are devoted to politics and blindly follow. Biden has won, and people should accept that, but before you start laughing and mocking others, take a deep look in the mirror and realize a lot of people on the left act the exact same way.
