Democratic presidential candidate Amy Klobuchar on Friday faced fresh accusations of belittling staffers, with a new report relaying a bizarre allegation that she'd berated a staff member for failing to bring her a fork with her salad.

The alleged confrontation, as reported by The New York Times, got weird.

According to the newspaper, the aide who neglected to get plastic utensils for Senator Klobuchar, D-Minn., committed the affront at an airport while traveling to South Carolina in 2008. Klobuchar not only chastised the aide, but reportedly proceeded to eat the salad using a comb from her bag -- then handed the comb to the aide and told him to clean it.

The presidential election should be similar to the concept of interstate commerce; no state should be able to act in such a way that a candidate meeting US constitution requirements could be kept off the ballot. Now if individual states want to pass a law requiring that any political candidate elected solely by voters of that state must release income tax records ... no problem. However, if I were a career politician who might have to explain how I made millions on say a congressional salary, I'd probably not be interested in a law like that ... income tax evasion and what political opponents actually know are probably something most politicians would prefer to avoid when it comes to themselves. I've always thought it the pinnacle of hypocrisy when a politician is concerned with how someone in the business world rather than "public service" makes money.
