Are you at all familiar with software firmware and hardware configuration control requirements on certified hardware like say the military sensors I work on and.... oh... government election machines?
I know how stringent our process is and I guess theirs might be worse. And if it’s found to be deficient configuration control and traceability then that throws the whole output integrity into question.
But that is just on the support side where you have configuration management built software and firmware baselines and hardware manufacturing sequence numbers/serial numbers in a specific system “as built” list tracing back to the hardware revision control list defining the end item and every assembly within.
This isn’t uncommon this is how the airlines build aircraft and how crash investigators conduct examinations of the crash material. But yet the 737MAX still flew with that rotten auto trim assist software doing exactly what it was designed to do
All of that work however doesn’t examine the source code that went into the software or firmware builds or the schematics for the electronic assemblies. So it’s great that GA did their audit and determined their systems are as specified by the mfgr. But that in no way certifies that the machines cannot do exactly what Sidney Powell is claiming.
Yep when I heard there was a mid vote machine update that was a MASSVE red flag to me and counter to every configuration control principle. It’s too late on Election Day. You go with what’s been certified. If it need to be updated why the hell was it certified in the first damn place. There are two big glaring issues to me - configuration control as you pointed out. You don't just do updates during an election, and the system is isolated and locked down.
The other is that the tabulating software should be super simple - you just add the ballot contents to the appropriate fields in the database and keep a running tab of the total counts for each candidate. That should be whole numbers; we don't have negative votes, and we don't have percentages of a whole vote - there should never be a decrease in the count. The weird explanation the other day about the percentage count causing a decrease in the total count makes absolutely no sense.
If ballots don't include tamper proof serial numbers, they should; and that number should be recorded with the other entries in the database.
There are still some narrow races where the Dems can hold a seat but this was their last chance to pickup one..If the GOP wins it will mean they will have not lost one reelection race.. its Katie Hill's old seat btw
This what they say:I would expect to hear results from the guys going line by line at some point
So basically just:This what they say:
01000101 01101110 01110100 01100101 01110010 00100000 01110011 01101111 01101101 01100101 00100000 01110100 01100101 01111000 01110100 00100000 01101000 01100101 01110010 01100101 00100000 01110100 01101111 00100000 01100010 01100101 00100000 01100011 01101111 01101110 01110110 01100101 01110010 01110100 01100101 01100100 00100000 01110100 01101111 00100000 01100010 01101001 01101110 01100001 01110010 01111001 00101110 00001010 00001010 01001110 01101111 01110100 01101000 01101001 01101110 01100111 00100000 01110100 01101111 00100000 01110011 01100101 01100101 00100000 01101000 01100101 01110010 01100101
It won’t matter. It’s musical chairs except the peanut gallery keeps throwing out new chairs so none of the contestants has to sit down. That’s a valid point and one I haven’t thought of.
Exactly... All it should be is a counter. A senior in high school should be able to write the code for that. There are two big glaring issues to me - configuration control as you pointed out. You don't just do updates during an election, and the system is isolated and locked down.
