2020 Presidential Race

It's also blindly ignoring what's going on in the Dem party right now. Both parties may schism. The GOP probably first. But it won't be more then a few years before the Dems rip at the seams too.
I agree, but as long as Trump/Trumpism remains, the democrats will remain pretty united. I think the big split on the left will be after Trumpism is no longer a political force.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a time when both sides have cannibalized their moderates to this degree.

This "election" thread has morphed into one largely comprised of dueling conspiracy theories by Trumpsters.

Donnie's gaslighting campaign is complete.

The good news is the adults will be back in charge on January 20th.
The inauguration parade has been cancelled by team Biden. Why? COVID is a bovine scatology excuse too.

I heard the Lizard People were afraid the Dominion Server Cyborgs would show up to celebrate and the Deep State Plot to Steal the Presidency would be revealed so they shut it down.

So what you are saying is that the judicial system is for and all about judges and lawyers, and the rest of us peons have no place in the process and no reason to presume that justice will actually be done. That it's all about rules, proceedings, and decorum; that any pretense of justice or our right to take part in it is secondary? That perhaps the most damning part is that the official court language is latin despite the fact that virtually no one is versed in it.

I am saying that it's like anything else where training is necessary to have the appropriate expertise. If you don't think that's true go try to defend yourself in a trial. There are attorneys who spend their entire lives in nothing but the study and practice of constitutional law. It's taking broad statements of principles and law and determining how the Constitution applies when it doesn't directly speak to a specific fact pattern.

Statements like "the official court language is latin" shows a certain level of cluelessness. Latin phrases are used sometimes to define certain concepts but to the best of my knowledge, legal pleadings and court decisions are not written in Latin.

I hope it's Romney, Christie, and Jeb Bush. Going to be fun watching him "call them out".

I'm never sure whether I more despise Romney or Biden, but in the long run it probably has to be Romney. Biden is just a never was who never will - gutter trash or empty vessel.

I wanted to like Jeb, but in the end he and especially Christie just take up space and waste oxygen.

Hated the neocon's and felt like he should've cleaned house from top to bottom. Biggest mistake he made was not doing a mass firing. Mistake he's still making, he needs to declassify everything. We need an economic populist that puts this country above all else and has a killer instinct. Somebody that will go after all these career politicians that have infested our government and have corrupted it to the core.

You have to dump the economist part or you won't find a guy who puts the country first. You only have to look two posts down for the reason ... according to our AF golfer

"I like your view towards the economic strategy, BUT it must also be accompanied by a keen international approach"

That puts us right back into globalism which isn't country first. Economists are generally people steeped in pseudoscience who know less than they think they do.

If we make half the "crap" China's making for us then profit margins will significantly dip for many of our corporations. It's absolutely a "catch 22" situation for us.

That's where the keen mind comes into play. Trump's style doesn't measure up

It certainly is; but when the people in this country who aren't manufacturing goods (because someone else is) run out of money and credit, they aren't going to be buying stuff regardless of who makes it. Supply and demand curves are basically sound, but when the supply of consumer money bottoms out, the demand for goods is screwed. The other big flaw in the system is long term vs short term strategy, but that takes understanding and patience which doesn't appear to exist in US corporations. Top execs have and will continue to sell our souls for a quick profit on their part.

The difference between now, 2004, 2016, whenever, is that we're going to have a large group of people claiming our entire election system/law enforcement/judiciary "stole" an election from the "true winner."

Yeah, and state and federal governments should have gone all out to demonstrate that it wasn't true, but they chose the other route which makes it look like there is a lot to hide. People demand accountability and transparency, and when they don't see it the result is distrust.
