2020 Presidential Race

Actually he will IMO. He is the part of the club and only one who is relatively centrist. No way any other wins the general as the party is primarily liberal but not radical. Even the political opinions of Tom Freidman and others see it. Gonna piss of the socialists for the general candidate once again.
His health both physical and mental is more of a question mark than his politics. If only considering his politics I would give him a better than even chance, but it also depends on how you define the “finish line” - whether the nomination or the WH.

I find it funny that only since he announced as a republican candidate have the dems decided Trump is a totally reprehensible person.

Y'all do realize he was one of your own for the majority of his life, right?

Y'all do know that his personality hasn't changed simply due to changing the associated political party, right?

Y'all do know that's why republicans laugh at you and don't take you seriously, right?

Violent revolution means 10s of millions dead, a totalitarian regime for those who survive, and the death of the American experiment that has been and will be again a shining city on a hill for all the world.
Not every revolution has violence and bloodshed, which is why I clearly stated I'm not in favor of such. And our own American Revolution did not lead to a totalitarian regime. George Washington warned of the two party system tearing our country apart. Thomas Jefferson espoused that a little rebellion could be a good thing. Our FFs weren't blind to the challenges our country might eventually face. We've reached a point where the system is corrupt and the government serves itself more than it serves the people. Remember, one of the founding principles was government "FOR the people, BY the people". That's becoming increasingly more untrue. So yes, I question if we need some kind of revolution. We need to get rid of the lifelong politicians sitting in Congress that have served themselves and their parties far more than they have their constituents. We need to rid our intelligence agencies, and our law enforcement agencies, and our judicial system, and other government agencies of the partisanship that has crept in and corrupted them. We need a government of people willing to work together rather than work apart, towards mutual ends that will serve the people of our country. Our FFs may have had different visions for the country, but they worked together for the country. Our current government does no such thing. It isn't about country, it's about party. And that is ripping this country apart more than anything else IMO.

We can't keep doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result. As the quote says, that's the definition of insanity. So at some point, we have to do something different if we expect things to change. That is the nature of revolution. It doesn't have to be violent, but people must come together and work to change. But as long as people keep putting their faith in political parties, that change will not come. The parties are responsible for where we are now.

Joe Biden Claims ‘There Are at Least Three’ Genders, Cannot Name Them

Former Vice President Joe Biden claimed there were “at least three” genders while campaigning on Thursday, but he could not name them.

Biden, who has made a string of high-profile gaffes this week, continued the trend during a visit to the Iowa State Fair, where he was asked by a student “how many genders” exist.

“There are at least three,” the 76-year-old Biden responded, according to video of the encounter captured by Turning Point USA.

When pushed to name all three genders by the student, Biden retorted by saying, “Don’t play games with me, kid.”

“By the way, the first one to come out for marriage was me,” he added before moving on to greet more individuals.

Please drop out, fed-up Iowans implore 2020 Democrats as 24 presidential hopefuls take over their state fair, inundate them with calls and texts and won't stop knocking their doors

Jake Poorman is exhausted. He's been trying to get every Democratic presidential candidate to sign a baseball, a souvenir of the wildest Democratic primary he's seen in his 60 years as an Iowan. He's gathered so many signatures - 16 - he had to get another ball.

That, coupled with the constant controversies out of Washington, has him a bit burnt out on politics.

'It's a lot of work,' he bemoaned. 'There's starting to be a bit of fatigue.'

Iowans treasure the national attention that shines on them every four years when presidential candidates descend on the state, whose caucuses mark the beginning of an election year. But as virtually every Democratic contender swings through Iowa this weekend to participate in the famed state fair, even some die-hard Democratic activists are getting restless.

They're worried the historically massive field isn't shrinking fast enough and the debate stages - plural - are too crowded.

The concern isn't limited to Iowa. Recent interviews with dozens of Democrats in other early-voting states registered a fresh anxiety among the most diligent deciders: If Democrats don't start to figure things out soon, they could give President Donald Trump the upper hand.

'I think that watching the infighting could have Trump win again,' said Duane Campbell, a 29-year-old custodian in Las Vegas. 'That's what he wants. He wants us to infight.'

Beth Doney, a 62-year-old retired librarian in Las Vegas, said she too is worried the hits Democrats are taking at each other could leave the president better-positioned to win re-election.

National polls suggest Democrats are enthusiastic about the array of candidates. But there are plenty of jitters, too.

In a June AP/NORC poll, 79% of Democratic voters said they were very interested in the 2020 election. But 59% also said they were anxious about it. Half of Democratic voters in that survey said they were frustrated with the campaign, while 31% said they were excited.

He sounds smarter when he sleeps.

Watch: Joe Biden Vows Flood of Immigration If Elected

Former Vice President and leading 2020 Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden is vowing to greatly increase the number of legal immigrants admitted to the United States every year.

In a speech to the Asian and Latino Coalition PAC, Biden promised to increase the level of legal immigration to the country beyond the roughly 1.2 million legal immigrants that are admitted every year, booming the foreign-born population to an unprecedented 45 million — a 108-year record high.

Specifically, Biden said the U.S. can “in a heartbeat” import another two million immigrants today.

Biden said:
We could afford to take in a heartbeat another two million people. The idea that a country of 330 million people is cannot absorb people who are in desperate need … is absolutely bizarreI would also move to increase the total number of immigrants able to come to the United States. [Emphasis added]
In addition to an increase in legal immigration levels, Biden said his national immigration plan would ensure that all 11 to 22 million illegal aliens living across the U.S. receive amnesty and a pathway to American citizenship.

Biden’s comments come after the latest Harvard/Harris Poll finds that swing voters by a majority, as well as nearly every other demographic group, say they are less likely to support a 2020 presidential candidate who wants more illegal and legal immigration to the U.S.

Would this be a bad thing?
I’m in favor of imagination reform.
Overhaul the vetting process and make the documentation process easier. Legal immigration could easily be increased with little downside.

Illegal immigration needs to be locked the **** down.

But a refined legal immigration process is good for almost everyone

Buttigieg proposes to expand access to health care in rural areas by implementing a "Medicare for All Who Want It" approach and increasing federal subsidies for plans sold through the Obamacare exchanges. He aims to beef up the health workforce through loan forgiveness programs and proposes increasing Medicare reimbursement rates specifically for providers in underserved communities.
