2020 Summer Olympics / Tokyo

Actually, if memory serves by the second time he hated the GM. Jordan was told by the GM that there was no way Phil Jackson was being brought back as he and the GM hated each other. Add in that basically the Bulls didn't want to pay him and Pippen more money. I think Kukoc and all the other key players were back-and sucked royally on their own . Dennis Rodman was a rebounding luxury. With no Jordan and Pippen, no need for the Bulls to pay him.

If the Bulls had wanted to put the band back together and go for 4, they could have done so. They said no, so Jordan retired. The Bulls have for the most part sucked for what, like 23 years solid now since that happened?

So why not go to a new team? He liked playing when he had a superior team. He stomached the GM when he had a superior team. Quit when he didn't.

Didn't say I hated her. Honestly until today, I kind of liked her. I am just disappointed in her-same as I am sure the companies who paid her millions for endorsements are now

In the words of the noted philosopher Mr Michael Tyson Esq, "everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth"

Well, as an analogy Ms Biles for the first time in her gymnastics career got punched in the mouth Sunday.

I didn't say you said that, you just seem to be relishing in her shortcoming.

The last two paragraphs are just about the dumbest things I've read on VN, and that's saying something.

You just kinda wonder if it’s a mental block like when Steve Sax got to where he couldn’t throw the ball to first base or if you remember Rick Ankiel just couldn’t throw a strike. He just completely blew up and it was in the playoffs too. Just mental blocks and it gets in your head where you overthink something you’ve done thousands of times.

Maybe she’ll get her mojo back for individuals. Be a good redemption story

I am relishing in nothing. As I said, I am really quite disappointed by today's turn of events.

Calling my Tyson analogy "dumb" indicates to me that you missed the point. Biles has been so far ahead of everybody else for so long that basically all she had to do was show up, and it was over-the battle was for second place.

Well, Sunday like it or not the Russian team punched her in the mouth in a figurative sense. For the first time in a long time, there was actually pressure applied and she folded. That is the reason for my disappointment.

Champions and "goats" simply do not get a mental health day on the one day every few years where they have to shine. If she competed-and lost then so be it. No shame in that at the end of the day. As things are, this is basically her last rodeo of note and this is how she goes out? Not a good look.

Burn it down from the top down and start over with all new people..that way we know all the rotten is gone.

Aly Raisman also called USA Gymnastics a disaster...there are things going on behind the scenes we probably don't know about Tokyo Olympics 2020: Live news, medals and results on July 27
There could be a lot going on behind the scenes that I don't know about, but on its face, this seems like a hallow criticism:
"Their best athlete is struggling ... is there someone there to help her?" asked Raisman. "I don't know. I'm not there, so I don't know. But I think it's an important question that we should be asking."

Guess what sweetheart-if you're gonna talk the talk and fail to walk the walk this is what happens.

She proclaimed herself a champion and the goat. Guess what, champions rise to the occasion when the lights are bright.

On the bright side, perhaps now she will stop being in every commercial known to man for the past 6 months.

This is what relishing in her failure looks like. Enjoy yourself.

In your augment, one doesn’t follow the other. You can be a spoiled athlete who chokes and still be the greatest ever. Knowing her has nothing to do with it.

What makes her spoiled, exactly?

Why do grown men get off on making these kinds of judgments about a young lady who they do not know and has accomplished more than they will ever accomplish? How but some introspection?

She seems like a really nice kid. I see no reason to think otherwise but maybe you can point me in the direction of her misdeeds.

How about some reading comprehension?

I'm all about mental health but Jesus, if you're worried your head space will lead to injury, that's not a reason to not compete. I get it if you are having a nervous breakdown but fear of injury is just selfish. IDK, maybe she didn't explain herself well.

I rescind this comment. She did explain herself well (the tweet thread contains the comments). She thought she was hurting the team and sat herself. I used to say this about Brett Favre...it's cool that he's an ironman but playing like **** wasn't helping the team. It was just selfish.

Not impressed with the US overall in this Olympics for swimming. Not enough young talent showing up as elite or there are just that many good international swimmers right now.

It was a lack of context issue. Carry on with whatever your purpose here is in the convo
Every one of my posts quoted what I was replying to. In a string that was like 4 posts long. So you either were lazy, can’t read, or by impulse are a self righteous jackass. “How about some introspection?“ Lmao
