This is what I don’t get, who comes to another team’s board to discuss/celebrate a game that doesn’t involve the other team? As you alluded to, there’s absolutely nowhere else for them to discuss it because that’s how much people care about that program or their athletics in general.

Was Tennessee down to their last strike against Wright State before their pitcher turned into a headcase after not allowing a baserunner through 2.2 innings and walked the batter with two outs? Nope. Did the Wright State pitcher start allowing hit after hit after the walk and said pre-walk cruising? Nope. Did Wright State allow a runner at second to take an extra base because of an ill-advised throw that had no chance of beating the runner? Nope. Did Tennessee score the run on a goofy wild pitch with a runner on third? Nope.

Stanford didn't choke because they gave up a lead. They choked because of how they gave up the lead.

I have been posting on here for a long time and have never been disrespectful to anyone. I actually appreciate that fact that there are loyal baseball fans to talk with. I certainly hope that TV stays and Vanderbilt and Tennessee become a Duke/NC of Baseball. I don’t understand your anger with me. The other guy is being a jerk deserves it but what have I done?

Vanderbilt gave Stanford a gift run in the first also. Plus the Wright St. pitcher basically threw a batting practice pitch on the Slam.

The fact that you can't read the room (board) and see that Tennessee fans are already disappointed with our early exit plus we just had to watch Candy eek out a win that they didn't deserve while you're "well actually"ing us isn't exactly the picture of respect.

I don’t want speak for txbo, but you should be off celebrating with your own not trying to defend your luck. I like you guys feeling like you can come here and discuss baseball, but you gotta know when it’s time to go hang out with yer own. I believe that is exceedingly fair.

I mean, Vandy is literally the defending champs. I believe the old saying "act like you've been there" applies here because you literally have. Stuff like this should be above you nerds (at least in this sport) but it never will because you'll always be Candy fans with an inferiority complex. You have one of the best college baseball programs in the country but there y'all are wanting validation from us. Good to know Little Brother Syndrome exists with y'all even in baseball.

FYI I respect you as a true fan of both UT and Baseball and will buy you a beer if we ever met in person.

Opposing fans really need to learn to pick their battles and let stuff go. I don't think coming to an opposing board after my team just won in the goofiest way possible after their team just had a disappointing showing that ended their season in the same event is a battle I'd want to pick. That's a good way to wear out your welcome. No matter how well-received you've been before, you're still an opposing fan. This should be a space to vent without having to worry about pissing off visitors.
