Bracket 1:

#4 Vanderbilt vs #5 Arizona
#9 Stanford vs. North Carolina State

Bracket 2:

#2 Texas vs #7 Mississippi State or #10 Notre Dame
#3 Tennessee vs. Dallas Baptist or Virginia

By all appearances; bracket 1 will play Saturday 6/19 and Bracket 2 will play 6/20 although not officially confirmed.
Game times have note been announced
If Bracket #2 does play on Sunday. then the winners and losers would play each other on Tuesday 6/22/2021
The Bracket 2 elimination game would be Thursday 6/24 and the bracket final would be Friday 6/25 and Saturday 6/26 if needed

The 3-game championship series would be Monday 6/28; Tuesday 6/29 and Wednesday 6/30 if necessary

So if you're waiting for second weekend to attend; be aware there would be no games on Sunday 6/27 unless it's a weather make-up date and no guaranteed game on Saturday 6/26/2021

Vanderbilt should boat race their bracket but you never know.

Bracket #2 is going to be interesting. The "feel" will be different depending on who wins Monday's games

Should Notre Dame win in Starkville; then the media will be fawning over the Irish.
Should DBU beat UVA; then the Patriots will be darlings and local underdog favorites.
Texas will bring lots of fans but they really have had the easiest path to Omaha.
Mississippi State would bring tons of fans and a Arkansas-style mostly empty trophy case.
UVA winning would add to the list of past winners participating

Texas - 6 titles - last in 2005 in 37 CWS appearances
Arizona - 4 titles last in 2012 in 18 appearances
Vanderbilt - 2 titles and the defending champion in 5 appearances
Stanford - 2 titles - last in 1988 17 appearances
Virginia- 1 title (2015) in 4 appearances or Dallas Baptist- 0 titles. 0 appearances. (Joined Div 1 in 2004)
Mississippi State- 0 titles in 11 appearances or Notre Dame 0 titles - 2 appearances
Tennessee - 0 titles 4 Appearance
North Carolina State- 0 titles. 3 appearances 1

I think they re seed the final 8 teams to determine the brackets
It is more of a question vs an answer

I not positive if you're saying all 8 team or just the brackets themselves. I'm assuming they follow the brackets 1 and 2 as shown on the website. And that our first game will be DBU or Virgy because we would've played TCU had they won their bracket.

Update: Playing Virginia at 2:00 on Sunday 6/22.

The Vandy side of the bracket (bracket 1) plays on Saturday. All of their super regionals started on Friday. The UT bracket (bracket 2) plays on Sunday. All of the super regionals on our side started on Saturday. That gives everyone the same number of days to prepare for Omaha.

I will be in Lincoln 6/24-6/29 visiting the grandkids. What would the best plan/venue for finding tickets for at least one game?

That's what we "think" but even John Wilkerson said on post game show that this is not set in stone.
ESPN may wish to flip the dates on the bracket- common sense be damned
Recall they will start a west coast or mountain time NFL playoff game at 1:00 pm but make the Patriots on East Coast play at night in 20 below weather because of ratings only. Fans and teams be damned.

In other words, it's possible that they may call the Vols' bracket #1. The NCAA has been careful not to say which side of bracket is #1 and which is #2 because of their TV partners having a say on game times.

Tickets are normally not a problem
However, you will likely be able to email the UT ticket office to get a part of their allotment so you can set with the orange blooded fans.

Nope. As 6-4-3 said; they don't reseed; so technically; NC State is now the #1 seed in the tournament as they assume that schedule

I'm interested to see Stanford play before I concede that Vandy will boat race their side. I honestly haven't seen them play at all, but when you annihilate your super regional opponent 2 games straight on the road, you have my attention. Arizona's also better than I gave them credit for.

I don’t think this is going to happen or can happen. UT has already put ticket requests out to season ticket holders and the only options we have to choose from are tickets starting Sunday and continuing on based on that start date (I.e. every other day from Sunday).

And the way Arizona is swinging the bat right now. They have, I think it was, 8 guys over .300 in their lineup. They said last night they’ve scored 13 or more runs 17x this year. I wasn’t sold on Zona coming in but they have a damn offense. Their field is huge yet they made it look small this weekend.

The PAC has had a strong year across many sports this year and before the tourney I had them ahead of the ACC.

The ACC has surprised me a bit as a lot is hanging on the ND/MS game today. However, NC State was really the only team that upset a top tier team. UVA won a region where the host was likely the 3rd best team. Notre Dame played NOBODY in their region and I think they may have trouble finding a good starter against a fairly deep MSU staff. However, MSU did have a rough few weeks to close our conference and SEC tourney play.

Vandy easily has the best 1/2 punch in the CWS. However, there is a huge drop off after those two arms. If they lose Game 1 or Game 2 and fall into the loser's bracket, they're going to have to hit their way to the championship game.

Anyone know how often a team has come from the loser's bracket to win the CWS? Seems like the finals series sitting almost on top of the two brackets makes it nearly impossible for a team that loses a game to have a shot at winning it all.

For those that are Hilton Honors members, the points stay at the Doubletree and Hampton Inn right by the park is 40K points per night. That's pretty good value for those points given the room rates. If you stay 5 nights, the 5th night is free.

Omaha is set up nicely for Vandy. You don't play every day. If they start on Saturday, even if they fall to the loser's bracket, their 3rd game isn't until Wednesday. They might have to go to their #3 guy, but by the 4th game Rocker is right there again ready to go. Then you get another 2 days off before the championship series starts.

Congrats to the Vols. It's funny. I was watching those two bozos on SEC NOW two weeks ago. They kept on and on about Florida being the tournament dark horse and everybody should watch out for them. Then two nights ago (Saturday after the game). They were saying that don't count LSU out yet. They will come back. I guess today they will be saying don't count Arkansas out yet. After all, they are batting a 1000 on their predictions.:p

Per what I'm reading, we're confident that we're in bracket 2 playing Sunday. Is that correct?

Do we think Texas will be the 1:00 game and we will have the 6:00 game? Or, do the TV guys sometimes flip that among?

A potential Notre Dame vs Texas game might have a higher television rating than Vols vs Dallas Baptist....:)
