Thanks GB!!

Has anyone tried buying the outfield seats for $28, and then moving to better, empty seats mid-game? We've on a budget here, plus we got a group of five. Hard to find five together.

Some places, the ushers are sometimes checking tickets thru at least the 5th inning or so.
The only time I have been to Omaha was 2018 when my son played in a baseball tournament during the CWS. I had a nice time sitting in the outfield. Wear plenty of sunscreen.

Hey hey....you are the guy that was at the game where TTU played the Ducks in Eugene. Hello friend!

We will always have Tennessee Tech 7 Oregon 0. I have a photo of the scoreboard....somewhere.

For $28 each, the five of us can be in the outfield. But in the late innings, Tony definitely needs to hear my coaching advice.

lol yes that was me and i still have the photos and videos of the O dance team, too, i think! :)

i'm all about moving up if it's possible too but i also realize it's not a guarantee so i try to make sure i'd be fine with the seat i buy for all 9+ innings. all i know is every LSU RP heard us down the LF line Sat and Sun!

i've got Wed-Sun tentatively booked for omaha. if that only results in me seeing one game i am perfectly ok with it

Ok....that is what we will buy and see how it goes. Thanks for the advice!!

Now, when will we know whether to buy Game 3 or Game 4? Tonight after MSU game?

I assume it would either be after MSU game or first thing tomorrow morning. I’d like to be in the Game 4 slot, but as others have said, ESPN loves their ratings and Texas vs MSU/Notre Dame would be more popular.

Obviously different leagues, but below table lists NCAA rankings for some key stats for each of the teams. The data was taken from NCAA College Baseball DI Stats | NCAA.com, which is current through June 13. Not sure how good DBU really is based upon their schedule and league. Interesting, UVA was only ranked higher than Tennessee in on-base percentage where UVA was 195 and TN was not in the top 286.

Overall record: TN (50-16-0), DBU (41-17-0), UVA (34-25-0). Note, TN did play 66 games vs 58 for DBU and 59 for UVA.

I suspect that Wright State is at or near the top of all the offensive categories.

another thing. I don't know why Tennessee is not ranked in OBP. Their team OBP is currently .385 which would be good for #48

In ELO, UVA is ranked 13 and DBU is 26. So as a basis UVA is a better team and then layer on pitching effect (which I take Chris Burke’s input) and I think at least in a game 1, UVA would be the more difficult matchup.

I believe Virginia’s ace has similar strikeout numbers to Leiter and Rocker.

In that case, we probably need to build upon our impending Dallas Bapist vs Tennessee Vols rivalry.

Q: How do you spot a Dallas Baptist fan in a Omaha liquor store?

A: He won't acknowlege your greeting
LOL. A classic re-imagined.

Persons within the UTAD are confident Tennessee will be playing the second game on Sunday. This would be game #4 on the bracket and would follow Texas vs MissState/ND winner.

Google Maps puts this trip at 924-930 miles (depending on route) and 13'56" - 14'30".
2 Tanks of gas
Each way.

The Vandy side of the bracket (bracket 1) plays on Saturday. All of their super regionals started on Friday. The UT bracket (bracket 2) plays on Sunday. All of the super regionals on our side started on Saturday. That gives everyone the same number of days to prepare for Omaha.
The days have not been officially announced yet. Tennessee still awaiting word from the NCAA to be able to plan accordingly.

If Tennessee plays their way it’ll be the battle of UTs

And some of you will get your wish to see who the real UT is…
