YouTube TV is the best streaming service. $70 and you get everything and unlimited DVR. We went from $210 to $100 after YOUTUBE, HBO, Prime, and Starz. Ended up with more for less than half

So, the committee took a solid 3 seed (maybe even a 2 seed any many years) into a 4 seed and sent time to Knoxville

By RPI, the Raiders best win is 1 of 3 against #75 Florida Gulf Coast on neutral site
No quadrant 1 wins (which may be why they are a 4) Going 0-6 against Vandy and Alabama
FGCU was their only Quad 2 (1-2)
Quad 3 10-3
Quad21- with their worst loss being #227 Milwaukee (not the Brewers) in Dayton. Raiders lost 1st game then won 3 times at home and 2 times in tourney
28-4 in Horizon League. 4-7 out of conference.
Not ranked all season but did end on a high being #36 in coaches pol with end of season RPI of #27
Warren Nolan's prediction machine has Vols winning 5-7
Raiders have won 13 in a row and 21 of last 22.
However, 3 of those recent wins were against Div II University of Charleston (WV) as it appears WSU was trying to fill out a schedule.
They won the Horizon League regular season by 3-1/2 games. No one else in league was within the RPI top-100
Traditionally, Wright and UIC are the only schools that give a damn about baseball in the Horizon.
The Horizon is the 23rd ranked Div 1 Conference by RPI w/ a out-of-confernece win percentage of 36.23%. No one in conference beat a top-100 team that was not Wright State

So, they are high scoring but woefully untested by top-level teams
Wright was outscored by combined 12-32 by VU and AL. This includes two 1-0 losses to each team.

It appears their RPI is high (like Fairfield and many ACC teams) because of the COVID shortened non-conference season. They played 8 games against YSU. 8 games against terrible NKU team. 6 against slightly better Milwauke yet only 4 against UIC.

So maybe the seeding is apropos.

I wish YTTV could get us some way to access the WatchESPN/ESPN3 stuff from within the app itself instead of having to open up a different app

That is why I picked Hulu TV over YTTV, purely a sports decision and I don’t need NFLN.

The road to Omaha will go through KNOXVILLE this year. I like our Chances, because of our Starting Pitching , Defense at every position,
Offense at all 9 spots , Coaching staff , bull pen , the mental toughness, the overall make up of this team and not to mention the gauntlet they just finished... this team is prepared to make a run !
I guess I look at things differently but I would be thinking if I was the other team... we have to play the the Freaking Tn Vols..... I love this team and I believe they play their best baseball from here on out against some very good teams. Easy no... fun!!! Yes !! Can’t wait!!!! Go Vols!!!

I like it! All of it! Correct on all levels. Play the way we can and nothing to worry about. We seem to have a bit of a chip too...I don’t mind the smidge or two of disrespect going into regional. God help Wright State!

Duke got hot in the ACCT but finished below .500 in ACC play. They were going to be sent somewhere. Based on geography, it was going to be Knoxville, Nashville or Columbia. I'd take them over Charlotte or Georgia Tech, which is who I thought we would get.

If we are here several years in a row, we get the respect.
We are good enough to beat anyone! We are just not known yet.

Upon further reflection, I think our guys will be fine on Friday, They are already motivated coming off of the loss to Arkansas, and they consistently have bounced back strong after a loss. I think they will be focused, dialed in, and ready for Wright State. They’ll also be at home with the crowd supporting them. Just have to focus on winning one game at a time.

Maybe, but none of that matters at this point. All that matters is that they are the next team on the schedule between us and Omaha. Just win, baby! (To steal a great line from Al Davis.)

If they can’t be up to play an NCAA tournament game at home then we have huge problems. I don’t care who is the opponent

I was just picking at you a little anyway. The bottom line is we’re a National 3 seed. That’s pretty darn good but it’s time to forget that now. This season will be remembered for what happens here on out. We’re going to Omaha.
