If you are Arkansas, then it seems you are the overall #1 seed regardless of this tournament so I wonder why they would not just throw their non-starters out and see what happens in the SECT. This is meaningless to them. Rest your team for the NCAA.

There is a fine line between rest and rust. You don’t want your guys going in cold and out of sync. I fully expect Dallas to start for us tomorrow, because if we were to lose and go 0-2 in Hoover and he doesn’t pitch then he might get shelled in regionals if he goes 2 weeks without pitching.

I’d honestly not be surprised if we got to an unfortunate point where we’re down big tomorrow to see Tidwell get an inning or two of work. Can’t let your guys get cold.

Exactly what Vitello said on Finebaum A few days ago. You don’t want to get the starters out of schedule. They are used to playing. Play them, but don‘t make them pitch 100.
