The real problem that Republicans have with mail-in balloting is that it increases voter participation. That normally does work to the advantage of Democratic Party candidates ... However, like I have already said, whenever Republicans run good candidates in battleground states ... they win.I believe it’s Utah that has had mail in balloting for quite a while. They also go to great pains to insure their voter records are correct and they also rolled this out over a decade ago in a methodical fashion. Not in the overnight knee jerk reactionary method forced during COVID.
Everyone should see that as an issue. Someone who is unable to cast a ballot or request one be sent is highly unlikely to have a clue who or what they're voting for. We don't advance anything by having more lazy, clueless and uneducated people votingThe real problem that Republicans have with mail-in balloting is that it increases voter participation.
No the real problem anybody would have with it is the haphazard fashion it was hastily rolled out during COVID. Whether you want to acknowledge it or not by hastily rolling it out it’s ripe for abuse. It doesn’t come any redder than Utah and they have done a thorough methodological job of protecting their balloting process. They do provide in person as well as mail in voting but a huge number do mail in.The real problem that Republicans have with mail-in balloting is that it increases voter participation. There is no evidence that the percentage of fraudulent ballots cast since 2020 has increased from previous election cycles. I will also add that the number of criminal convictions obtained against people committing voter fraud in 2020 ... were mostly Republicans who were attempting to vote for Trump. No the real problem anybody would have with it is the haphazard fashion it was hastily rolled out during COVID. Everyone should be against automatic mass mailing and ballot harvesting of ballots. Unless of course you’re using those methods to game the system.

Oh I’ve seen plenty of behavior already to say that it’s clear shenanigans have occurred. And I’ll also submit neither party wants to open that Pandora’s box and point to our elections being compromised in any way as that reflects directly on them. It’s more useful as a dog whistle. There is no evidence that the percentage of fraudulent ballots cast since 2020 has increased from previous election cycles. Post a link to a source of data which shows an increase in fraud due to mail-in balloting. The above is Exhibit A on purposeful intellectual dishonest to avoid the full scope of the issue.
Potential illegal fraud is one issue but the other is legal fraud. Helping those poor voters who just hadn't decided to vote that you have come to help them complete the process.
Let me ask you if a bank is more or less likely to strengthen internal controls around processes procedures to take petty cash regardless if someone has abused its access for luncheons or supplies?
Ok this has popped up multiple times now and I feel cheated that I’m not up to speed on it. Admittedly I stopped listening not long after he announced and I heard him campaign a couple of times. Then I watched a few opening minutes of the debate. And that was enough.Personally I'm disappointed we likely won't get any more vampire versus werewolf analysis from Herschel. I think he was on to something.
Then request a ballot. It's very simple. My wife votes by mail and only had to register that choice once. If you can't make any effort then you're likely casting a low info vote. We need less of those not moreThey are actually smart. Why fight the crowds and wait in line on election day. It's disingenuous at best to malign people simply because they would prefer to vote by mail instead of wasting their time waiting in line, particularly when there is zero proof of widespread fraud with mail in ballots.

I don't see why you would have an issue with States that choose to send mail in ballots to all registered voters. We need more of that, not less.
Unless you simply don't want more people to vote. Increased voter participation makes elected leaders more representative of their constituency, not less - that's a good thing.
Because it's just begging to be abused. Make the minimal effort required or don't vote. No, we need more educated voters not just more voters. This is not how that happens.I don't see why you would have an issue with States that choose to send mail in ballots to all registered voters. We need more of that, not less.
