2022 U.S. Senate Races

He had the mental capacity to defeat Dr. Mehmet Oz and win the election. What does that say about Dr. Oz? Not much.

... and deserves what they are getting?

They are getting Democratic Party control of the Senate, because they did not want Republicans to be in control, with Sen. Mitch McConnell as the Senate Majority Leader again. That was the primary case in voting for Fetterman in the first place.
Huh? I suspect they voted for Fetterman bc they thought he would best represent them. If their vote hinged on party in charge then they are morons.

The senate map is much more friendly to the better side next time around. I don’t want McConnell either but he isn’t as bad as that snake Chuck Schumer. Oz was a moron and fetterman was brain dead. You lefties try to act like fetterman was JFK or Bill Clinton

I have never seen any such comparisons made.

Says more about your cult to me.
It tells me that the Cult of Personality, also known as the Republican Party, really shot themselves in the foot in both Georgia and Pennsylvania in 2022, by nominating terrible Senate candidates, just because your cult's leader, Donald Trump, told them to.

Sure thing man.
Oz wasn't a horrible candidate, only because he had an R next to his name.
Your party elected a vegetable and the lemmings could not see that he was a vegetable and didnt care..That speaks volumes to your Party.

Pennsylvania is a purple state. Trump won it in 2016, and it has had Republican Governors and Senators in the past 15 years. Pennsylvania has a large portion of independent voters. You can't win a statewide election in Pennsylvania by simply getting out the base. You must carry the independent vote. In short, Fetterman did not win because of the Democratic Party ... he won, for the same reason any candidate wins a statewide election in PA ... he had a majority of independent support.

PA is only purple at a local district level and districting for local elections.

"As of May 2022 the Pennsylvania Department of State reports that there are approximately 4,000,000 (46%) registered Democrats, 3,450,000 (39%) registered Republicans, 911,000 (10%) registered unaffiliated, and 377,000 (4%) registered with other parties."

That is a purple state of land, not statewide voters. The entirety of PA voted for Fetterman with a D+7 point lead.

Since 1995 ...

Pennsylvania has had 2 Republican Governors ...

1) Tom Ridge / Mark Schweiker 1995-2003
2) Tom Corbett 2011-2015

and 3 Republican Senators ...

1) Arlen Specter 1981-2011
2) Rick Santorum 1995-2007
3) Pat Toomey 2011-2023 ... * The Fetterman vs Oz election was for Toomey's seat.

and Donald Trump won Pennsylvania in 2016.

^^^^ Purple State ^^^^

You are really reaching back in time and discount the data I posted for 2022.
Regardless look in the mirror and stop using the "cult" term.
If we had time we could all point that R's vote R and D's vote D probably 90% of the time. That is party cult and not something which your party is exempt. FACT

This seems to be a common theme, the state powers that be roll out candidates not that you vote for, but that you vote against their opponent. How many people filled out to vote in GA, PA, AL or even TN to vote for their candidate of choice as opposed to rolling out to vote because you didn’t want the other guy….. heck 81M did it because they didn’t want Trump

Caveat supposedly

Oz was hurt by Mastriano being such a poor nominee as Gov. You saw what happened to Herschel Walker when he didn't have Kemp at the top of the ticket in the runoff...

If the Rs ran a decent candidate for Gov, Oz likely wins..

That doesn't make any sense.

Kemp was on the ballot in the November election, and Warnock still received more votes than Walker ... he just didn't reach the 50% threshold, as Georgia requires. So, there was a runoff.

Oz was hurt by not being a candidate that Pennsylvania voters could identify with. He wasn't truly a resident of the state, and he didn't discuss issues that voters were most interested in.

Do you have proof that John Fetterman was forced into running for public office against his own free will? There is nothing on the public record which suggests that. Do you know him personally, or know someone close to him? It seems like you would have to, in order for your assessment to be well-informed analysis.

I am skeptical that the concern for John Fetterman's health being expressed by Clay Travis is genuine. I think it is much more likely that this is an example of political opportunism. Does anyone truly believe that Clay Travis cares if Fetterman dies? Of course not. Fetterman's most recent misfortune presents conservatives with an opportunity to score some cheap political points, and there are some immoral people among them who are willing to exploit that. It's disgusting.

Aww quit your crying. It's hard to believe this was the best Pennsylvania had to offer.

Fetterman is terrible. I hate it for Uncle Fester that his health is bad but it wasn't a secret. Democrats have low standards.

... as opposed to the party which nominated Herschel Walker for the United States Senate, and just sent George Santos to the House of Representatives?

Keep throwing stones from inside of your glass house, and see how much that does to help your cause.

Wait. Are you saying John Fetterman is a better candidate than Herschel Walker? You've fallen and bumped your head. The NYT article speaks for itself. I admit Santos sounds like a disgusting Rep.

Yes. Fetterman was a better candidate than Herschel Walker. Fetterman is a Harvard graduate. Herschel only graduated from Georgia in the whoppers he loved to tell.

Roflmao....woooo. Good one. Oh shoot, oh shoot. You had me for a minute.
Great retort.

Yeah .... Herschel Walker sure was a great candidate.

Let's see here :

1) He has Dissociative Identity Disorder (formerly known as Multiple Personalities).
2) He paid for a mistress to have an abortion, despite having referred to abortion as "murder."
3) Lied about how many illegitimate kids he has.
4) Lied about having a college degree.
5) Lied about graduating in the top 1% of his class in college.
6) Threatened to kill his ex-wife, with a knife he had brandished.
7) Lied about accepting PPP money, after being critical of other companies for accepting the loans, and being critical of the program itself for being socialism.
8) Lied about a wide assortment of jobs that he had supposedly held.
9) He lost to the worst current Democratic Party Senator ... in a pink state.

Did I leave anything out?
