That's a pretty serious investment for KU for football.
It shows just how much, from a financial perspective, that football stirs the drink. I can't find the stat at the moment, but the only basketball school where basketball brought in more money than football was Duke. And it wasn't by much.

Football, even at basketball schools like UK and Kansas, brings in so much more money than basketball.
