2023 Recruiting

That's great and all but if you develop top tier talent it's gonna be a smoother transition...

If it were only that easy
Natalya is the shining example of an "everybody loves her-athlete" this is by no means true for all of them

Elite athletes come with all the flaws and traits and personalities that non-elite players come with...believe me.

Also, most of the development is in the preteen and early-teen years....and anyone who has raised a daughter knows those are the "fun" years

generally true. But there are the exceptions. Compare the top 2 2022 forwards in Janiah Barker and Ayanna Patterson. Both top 5 players, but Barker is a very complete player where Patterson is a raw athletic talent.

WBK…. Are the unofficial visit from recruits on our list ? I keep up with recruits and visits to try and quess it we have a chance ?

As far as I know for 2023
Olivia McGhee
Ashlynn Shade
Emma Risch
Cori Allen
Jada Harrison

….are the only ones that have had an unofficial with Ashlynn going the most (2 visits from her so far)

My bad ….. I meant the unofficial to Missouri?

I hope we get Olivia McGhee and Ashlynn Shade!

Olivia McGhee might be tough to reel in just my opinion. Lot of talk coming out of the state of NC, MD, GA. I have not seen her play yet but i did put her on my schedule.

Seen her play and she is great player. She plays less then an 45 away from me and even as close as 20 minutes with certain other schools being in their district. So i've seen her play in person.

Also, don't be surprised to see her change AAU teams so we know how that goes gotta watch where those AAU teams are affiliated as the crap is getting into the women's game now (look at some recent commits).

She is getting heavily recruited by schools as she should. I'm sure she is looking at those places as they have things to offer . UNC is a jordan brand school, NC St has had success and a good coach , MD is close and they've had success.

However don't count out TN or VATech. She is very active on social media. Coach sam and coach joy are on a warpath right now 😂 From what i heard as of NOW TN is in good shape

Great post and i agree like i have said before i never seen this young lady play before so i can`t say a lot. Just a lot of talk in NC about this young lady and some unofficial visits she took not sure what teams ? But she is getting talked about a lot. now as for TN i never counted them out i just think it`s going to be a uphill battle for her.

She visited UNC and NC St about two to three weeks ago! It was the night they had the midnight madness type thing at UNC then she went to NC St the next day ...

She will be a great for whoever lands her.

Any update on where we stand with Aalyah Del Rosario post player from Webb School in Bell Buckle south of Murfreesboro TN… hope home state helps, plus hope we have in roads due to recruiting Keon last few years.

Went to Lebanon high school to watch Webb girls play in two scrimmages. I was not disappointed! Aaliyah Del Rosario is 6’6” post and ranked by HG. as the #13 overall best player for 2023 ! First of all she is a big person…. Pretty athletic and fairly mobile ! She did fall down quite a few times but she always had multiple players trying to stop her !
The other teams would bring their bigs out above the 3 point shot line so Rosario would have to guard them them away from the goal . She was mobile enough and footwork kept her in position to keep in good defensive position. On one occasion she intercepted a pass to the person she was guarding at the top of the key and drove all the way to their goal making an easy lay up ! Our closest comparison player is Mercedes and she is thicker and more agil than Mercedes ! Only negative is she will reach over the person she is guarding and get called for fouls easily.

Angelica Velez 5’7” point guard #37 overall is a player also. This kid handles the ball really well and never looks shaken by pressure. At first I thought she could not shoot but she was just running their offense! She made some three’s when open and can penetrate when she wants too . On defense I was keeping up with the steals but I wanted to watch the game and stopped counting! She is not the little water bug type of player but has a stout athletic build which allows her to withstand the normal pushing and shoving without losing her bodily control. She would be a good get also . JMO

A name to watch for “TaTianna Stoval”. A freshman but I see a potential for a REALLY GOOD PLAYER! JMO

Coached against Stovall for 3 years of middle school. She has to improve in the skill department but she has a ton of potential. Long, smooth athlete that has good basketball IQ and savvy. Her mom was a baller.

Thanks for the input about this young lady ! I looked up the roster of the Webb school on the internet . I needed some fan help as the game #’s were different in the scrimmages! I was really confused until I got a few names straight…….

Once I noticed this 6’1” sleek and smooth athlete was a Freshman! I coached this age level and I never had such a prize athlete!
Most people want to know who played , how many minutes and how many points did you score ? Well coach , you certainly know there is a lot more to this game and this kid will impress any coach or true fan that knows the game ! Her effort and never giving up attitude.
I did not see her shoot anything away from the 5–10 foot range but her defense , rebounds, and IQ of the game was a joy to watch ! Really smart and a little sneaky also …..

Once again a (Freshman) with ability! If she puts in the work ..,.. she could be special?
I guess we will see ? Then you and I can say ….. I knew her when ! 🤔

She's not 6'4", she's 6'1" .
Even Wikipedia makes mistakes.
