2024 Presidential Race

I was a felony probation/parole office for several years. If New York is similar to Georgia, he could be sentenced under a First Offender/Conditional Discharge type statute that would allow him to successfully complete his sentence therefor withholding a conviction.

Edit: Basically no adjudication depending on the performance of his sentence.
When would he be defined as a felon? At conviction? Sentencing? I mean I don't really care, and don't know why Trump humpers think it matters, just curious to how it actually works. He's a felon. As of now

I would guess it would be when an order of adjudication is signed by a judge (sentence) then entered into New Yorks crime information center/NCIC.

Burgum or Vance IMO
I’d say that’s likely.

If Trump were smart (he’s not) he’d select based on 1 of 2 criteria, and pick one of the following:

- Someone who can help deliver PA, MI, or WI
- Female with a moderate abortion position that can assuage angst among suburban women

Either of those would really put him in position imo.

@volfanhill - I couldn’t find anything, but that ^ is what I remembered seeing. When a judge formally enters the order at sentencing.

Still don’t know if that’s true 🤷‍♀️

This is certainly an interesting time for anyone affiliated with the Democratic party to bring up "facts."

I'm all for somebody taking down both piles of **** that have resided on Capitol Hill for a long, long time. Call that whatever you want.
Whatever I want, eh? OK, the kiddiedoc dogma. We share the same position on your second sentence above, especially.
Get rid of all the ancient career lobby puppets, the MAGAs, and maybe, just maybe just replace them with Millennials. Might as well,
They might not do better, I doubt they will do much worse than all the piles of shyte we deal with. Heck, maybe even a military dictatorship would work.

The problem with leaners, is that they identify as party puppets. Incapable of voting, or forming a position without being dictated unto by the party leading them about via a chain attached to their nose ring. Thinkless, yes, I said, thinkless minions who probably deserve being robbed of their taxpayer dollars, free will, common sense, civil rights, and everything else that by law or constitutionally should be theirs. Sloganizing, politichants, mindless mantra, and push button emotionalism automatons is all many Muricans are these days.

Everyone excited for our presidents big boy press conference today?
What are your expectations?
Will the Q&A be scripted?
Will Biden have note cards or use the teleprompter?

I hope somebody makes sure to wipe the hot fudge cake off his chin before he starts blabbering on, that would be very unpresidential.

Well, so far it looks like the Big Boy Conference (BBC??) is greeted with tepid reception.

Are we making a drinking game of this one or are we all still in detox from the debate?

The die has been cast for Joe and I doubt many people believe even with an astounding PC today will let them think he will be there over next 4.5 years.

Everything I've read says your felon the moment you are found guilty. My suspicion is that "not a felon yet" is a false talking point
I found this:

In United States practice, conviction means a finding of guilt (i.e., a jury verdict or finding of fact by the judge) and imposition of sentence.

The case could even still be dismissed due to PI and it would be likeit never happened. It matters because it is a false label that no one wants to carry with them thru their life. No one will get to say he is a felon or ever a felon.
