1,400 Black Women Sign Letter of Support for Biden, condemn lack of Democratic unity​

More than 1,400 Black women and allies have indicated their support for President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris in a new letter released on Thursday.

Highlighting the fact that millions of Americans cast ballots for Biden and Harris in the primary, the women said attempts to change the ticket “disregard” and “circumvent the will of millions of voters who participated in a democratic process.”

The letter is signed by Black powerhouses like Carol Moseley Braun, the first African American woman elected to the senate; Keisha Lance Bottoms, former senior adviser to Biden and former mayor of Atlanta; and Melanie Campbell, president and CEO of the National Coalition on Black Civic Participation and convener of the Black Women’s Roundtable.

In terms of Congress, I would not feel bad at all if we were to replace Gaetz, MTG, and a few others with serious grown up candidates. We need adults, not entertainers. Time to end the sideshow.
And i actually think Trump and Vance will actively try and work with Democrats to pass some legislation to help all Americans, at least on the financial front.
What had really changed is that for the first time since the 80‘s; the Republicans have stopped pushing the culture wars and instead taken Carville‘s advice to Bill Clinton „it’s the economy stupid“.
It may just be a temporary strategic shift; but if they actually govern that way the next four years; it could change the political landscape.

79 percent of Democrats Approve of Harris Replacing Biden if he steps aside: Poll​


An overwhelming majority of Democrats say they approve of Vice President Harris replacing President Biden atop the ticket if he decides to step aside, according to a poll released Thursday.

The Economist/YouGov survey found 79 percent of Democrats would support Harris at the party’s nominee in November if Biden chose to withdraw from the race. A growing number of Democrats are calling for the incumbent to step aside in the wake of a poor debate performance against former President Trump last month.

Democrats in Michigan cut off a vulnerable House Democrat from a major part of campaign operations after she called last week for President Joe Biden to step down from the ticket.

Officials reversed that decision Thursday, after facing questions from POLITICO.


Rep. Hillary Scholten, a first-term Democrat who flipped a traditionally Republican seat in 2022, was booted last week from a coordinated effort between the Biden campaign and the state party to elect candidates up and down the ticket, according to four people with knowledge of the situation, who were granted anonymity to speak candidly about private discussions.

he needs to resign bc he's mentally unfit. If someone wants to drop out of an election that is their choice. For example, if trump said you know what I'm done. Someone tried to blow my head off. I'd have no issue

You miss my point..if he resigns then fine..but no drop out of race and continue his term.

Regardless, they knew his mental fitness and lied about it and elected him.

If it’s the latter it is business as usual. He’ll serve as the face while the puppet masters pull the strings. If it’s the first, I hope he goes ballistic and lets loose the skeletons.
