My two cents, just arrest them for the obvious stuff. It has nothing to do with free speech, imo. I see nothing wrong with them setting fire to the U.S. flag, but yes causing chaos in public or on government property is a whole different matter.

They are not there because of free speech, they did it to cause chaos.... nobody probably would have said a damn thing if they were in their own yard doing it.

And even beyond that let's suppose, just for the sheer sake of argument, it was a piece of whatever that tore through Trump's ear. Where's the big own in that being the case? You can't say lie because it would be perfectly reasonable for someone being shot at (not under dispute by literally anyone that matters) and was hit by something that caused the damage would assume they were shot. What reason would they have to NOT think it was a bullet? So unless you're so mushminded you're trying to just declare the whole thing a hoax what's the best you could hope for? "The guy was only injured by secondary bullet impact during an assassination attempt instead of direct bullet impact." What would that get you? Where's the "win"?

Trumpie already has the Jewish voted sewed up. If he gave Afro-Am voters a rock solid reason to pick him, he wins running away. Not the usual empty promises gobbledygook, vague BS, and unspecified policies/plans, but tangible commitments. I'd hit him on being detailed about education policy, VA care as it relates to Afro-Ams, job training for the Black community, and access to quality medical services. "What have you got to lose," he once asked. The answer should, "Everything as usual, what's your plan to remedy that? Or at least address it?"

The remaining matter then is for him to express if he has the courage to live up to those commitments. To not be like Eisenhower, who made an initial effort in those ares, but as soon as the pall malls expressed opposition, he dropped it like a hot potato. If Trumpon commits to this, that's game over in terms of winning the Black vote.

Situational, the law is separable. I would say its a generalization. Can you go through a posted U.S. military installation and start protesting? Try that where they have nukes and see what happens. The U.S. government can restrict speech on government property, as it does so in most cases. Generally, if someone is in a open public space on government property, I don't see anything wrong with them doing there thing but if you are starting fires and such there laws against that as well and that has nothing to do with free speech.
