2024 Presidential Race

You miss the point... congrats on his service.... the fact of the matter is its stolen valor to say you were in combat when you werent, to say you were an e9 when you werent.. to wear the cap and the insignia of special forces... when you werent. It's actually punishable by jail time.

This makes him unelectable in the eyes of me and every other veteran I know.

LOL

Then you and the other vets you know are morons. Sorry, not sorry.

Suggesting he "stole valor" for wearing a ball cap is ludicrous.

He was a E-9, until he wasn't. Perhaps you don't understand how it works. Given your hot take on stolen valor, it would seem plausible you aren't up to speed on much of this.

The E-8 earned retirement after 24 years and hell, I don't blame him for not wanting to go to Afghanistan. Especially if retirement is on the table. You guys Monday morning quarterbacking what he "should" have done are clowns.

Keep it up, beating up a 24 year vet over nonsense is a great look.

I especially find your attacks on a vet comical given your boi trump is the first POTUS that didn't serve in any branch, in any capacity. If Walz is POS, what does that make the dotard?
Obama, Trump, or Biden did not serve. The last dem candidate to serve was Jimmy Carter and that is why the dems are so giddy over Walz.

"24 years" in the GUARD. He really didn't do chit.

Saying your an E9 when your not is stolen valor end of story. Saying you carried a weapon in combat when you never was within a thousand miles of combat is stolen valor. He is literally the definition of stolen valor.

I am an independent honestly dont really care for either of those choices but no way in hell do I vote for that.

You obviously are not military nor have been and it shows.

He can't claim to be a retired CSM, when in fact he's not. Perhaps, you don't know how it works and aren't up to speed.

I was frocked E-8 (1SG), I retired as a SFC (as an actual Soldier, not a weekend warrior*). I don't walk around claiming to be a MSG/1SG

You're really showing how retarded you are.

*no offense to them, but they don't count

I see your point. But I wonder what the men who served with him think? Surely their opinion is the most relevant one?

The fact he didnt deploy simply shows cowardice... the stolen valor though is inexcusable and something that simply makes him unelectable.

You've been watching too much newsmax. Take a deep breath.

He should be unelectable because of his policies and his platform. You guys are desperate to make this a thing, it's going to backfire.

Trying to pretend that his 24 years of service is a liability because he retired when it is inconvenient for you politically is mind numbing.

I know some guys from my old unit, who after 20 years would jump on the opportunity to trash our old 1st Sgt.

Actually Kerry did serve. But of course, his record got pretty well tarnished too.
Carter was and remains a very honorable man. I wish him well on his 100th birthday coming up shortly.

The dims most decorated soldier is Dick Blumenthal.

LOL, whatever man. You want to beat up on a guy who served for two and half decades and then Monday morning quarterback the way in which he decided to retire, go for it. It demonstrates to anyone that's paying attention that you're desperate to find something wrong with the guy. Beating up on a 24-year vet that decided to separate to start a new chapter instead of going Afghanistan is a loser. The only thing Donny and the weirdo should be saying to any career vet is "thank you for your service" and then shutting the f*** up.

Absolutely wreaks of desperation but plays into the political BS handbook, take a positive and nitpick it into a negative.
One weekend a month, 2 weeks a year. How's that work out over 24 years?

So? Does that make their opinion any less valid? They WENT when he didn’t. They EARNED the right to criticize.

Sure. I'm just pointing out that it's probably not hard to find a guy in any unit who has an axe to grind.

The REAL question we all should ask is why in the world the Harris campaign picked him. She had all the momentum a candidate could wish for and she had weeks to vet potential candidates. She inexplicably went with a candidate from a state she was already going to carry and who had well known skeletons like this in his closet. Shapiro would have been a much safer bet. This was just objectively stupid, regardless of whichbparty one supports. That’s my opinion at any rate. Which of course is worthless in the grand scheme of things.
The biggest disillusionment of my adult life has been the wide and staggering incompetence of the people who are supposed to be the smartest. As a young person; I always assumed smart people tan the world. Now I am forced to admit that the world is ran (regardless of political party) by absolute imbeciles.
