The REAL question we all should ask is why in the world the Harris campaign picked him. She had all the momentum a candidate could wish for and she had weeks to vet potential candidates. She inexplicably went with a candidate from a state she was already going to carry and who had well known skeletons like this in his closet. Shapiro would have been a much safer bet. This was just objectively stupid, regardless of whichbparty one supports. That’s my opinion at any rate. Which of course is worthless in the grand scheme of things.
The biggest disillusionment of my adult life has been the wide and staggering incompetence of the people who are supposed to be the smartest. As a young person; I always assumed smart people tan the world. Now I am forced to admit that the world is ran (regardless of political party) by absolute imbeciles.
The E-8 earned retirement after 24 years and hell, I don't blame him for not wanting to go to Afghanistan. Especially if retirement is on the table. You guys Monday morning quarterbacking what he "should" have done are clowns.
Keep it up, beating up a 24 year vet over nonsense is a great look.
I especially find your attacks on a vet comical given your boi trump is the first POTUS that didn't serve in any branch, in any capacity. If Walz is POS, what does that make the dotard?
His ingestion of horse semen is more of a concern than his military service. What an idiot.Nah, you look like a straight douche trying to gatekeep military service. A corporal in the marines (vance) should shut his junior enlisted yapper and give a wide birth to a E-8.
Yall keep it up though, criticizing military service is really going to resonate with the undecided middle. Smart.
It wasn’t always like that. JFK and multiple democrats served honorably. It’s also not like the repubs are exactly overflowing with veterans right now. The last vets I can remember being on Republican tickets (before Vance at any rate) were Dole and McCain. W did have his national guard time; but that was controversial in its own way.The dims most decorated soldier is Dick Blumenthal.
E-8 or E-9?!?! Because he's claiming one, but is actually the other...Nah, you look like a straight douche trying to gatekeep military service. A corporal in the marines (vance) should shut his junior enlisted yapper and give a wide birth to a E-8.

Trump was never my top choice either. I have never voted for him in any of the three primaries in which he has been involved.Don't know and don't care. I thought Kelly would have been a much better pick from a dumb american optics POV. Dudes an astronaut - that's just bad ass.
Both parties put forward options that reek of dog sh*t. Then put cat sh*t cherries on top with two awful picks for VP.
We get what we deserve.
I'd vote for Nikki Haley, many in the middle would - the right blew it when they propped up the dotard loser for a second time.

Like I say, we are governed by arrogant, vacuous idiots. And I don’t see that changing anytime soon.
I am intrigued by Vance. I read Hillbilly Elegy shortly after it came out and was immediately impressed by his insight and his personal story. I came from the same world as he did, Eastern Tennessee instead of Eastern Kentucky in my case; but a run down poverty stricken coal mining town on its last legs. In a way, I wish he had stayed simply a writer instead of entering politics. I think people may have listened more to what he had to say if he hadn’t put on the uniform of one of the „teams“.
Of course Shapiro would have said yes - just that pesky issue of the Democrats not wanting a Jew on the ticket.Wrong. Shapiro would have said yes. Many others. That's just your partisanship showing
