As % of GDP, debt in Obama’s later years and Trump first years had actually almost plateaued dueto sequestration.

With very different economies. It's apples to oranges. The biggest point I make of Trump's reckless spending is how little was achieved from it all ... and how unnecessary it was as stimulus.@BowlBrother85 -Using round numbers and ignoring immaterial noise
Trump spent 5T more than brought in and had another 3T in debt for the 10 year accounting estimates (largely for TCJA). There's your 8T.
Biden will spend 8T more than brought in and will have debt reduction of 3T largely because tax revenues from TCJA (and taxes from wage inflation) exceeded GAO forecast.
If you want to give Biden credit for this because of inflation, I guess you can. But both are a $$$ embarrasment.

Harris, too, resisted taking ownership of immigration; when Biden charged her with managing the troubled Northern Triangle countries in Central America, Harris bristled at the implication that she had a direct role to play in fixing the border.
The longer he takes to find something that sticks, the longer Kamala gets to be all things to all people and the lady who saved us from the rematch of the dottards. The problem with that is simple. The attacks that matter, that can't be blurred or ones that no one really gives a shat about, get muddied and lost. His Covid actions and his actions during the riots will scare undecideds to Trump. His military service gets a big yawn. If personal behavior, actions, and lying were a problem Trump would not be a nominee.
In a few years, a new Queen…@luthervol we gon have a new King of deficit spending.
What’s a trillion or two when talking federal budget deficits?@BowlBrother85 -Using round numbers and ignoring immaterial noise

100%. Which is why his early attacks about her "not being black" were about as dumb and predictable as one could expect. Played right into the hands of the Dems. The longer he takes to find something that sticks, the longer Kamala gets to be all things to all people and the lady who saved us from the rematch of the dottards.
And have you seen the reports that even though the official orders didn’t come out until July 2005, everyone knew through the grapevine that the orders were coming in November 2004. Walz knew what was coming and got out while he could.Attacks on Walz's Military Record - FactCheck.org
In introducing her pick for vice presidential running mate, Kamala Harris has prominently touted Tim Walz's 24 years of service in the Army National Guard. Now, however, GOP vice presidential nominee JD Vance and the Trump campaign are attacking Walz on his military record, accusing the...www.factcheck.org
Walz retired on May 16, 2005. Walz's brigade received alert orders for mobilization on July 14, 2005, according to the National Guard and MPR News. The official mobilization report came the following month, and the unit mobilized and trained through the fall. It was finally deployed to Iraq in the spring of 2006.
Now, if Behrends (whatever the guy's name is) wants to make issue of the "carried a gun in war" comment? Fine. Have at it. Call it stolen valor, even.
However, to refer to this ^^^ as being a "desertion" is ridiculous, and it will distract from other more valid points of criticism.
