I’m not talking about Trump, I’m speaking as one whom is interested in freedom and history and it is useful to see how intelligent people succumbed to them.Yeah...that's what Trump is about.
It's hard to imagine a life where knowing Hitler speeches would be useful in any way. Occam's razor says he simply found it interesting.
mandatory is a problem when it applies to people on their own private property. So is it your position that there should not be a mandatory curfew during times of civil unrest?

It can happen here.
you really think TRUMP is sitting and reading a whole book "from time to time"? you are giving his attention span and intelligence far more credence than I do. funny how that always flips for you guys, he is some diabolical schemer, but he mentally can't navigate the stairs. at least with Biden most on the right weren't saying he was the brains of the operation while Biden gave us a 50 yard stare.Did you overlook the part that "from time to time he reads the book"?
I haven't read the book or the speeches to speak towards the specifics of this case.I’m sorry but I don’t understand the latter. What’s the problem with reading Hitler’s speeches? The same can be said for Stalin or Mao. Becoming educated on the words of serial mass murderers and their acquisition of power is something freedom seekers should be familiar with.
I don’t think I missed your point. I read you to essentially be saying “anybody who made it to that position would have done the same.”I'm not trying to be obtuse at all. Maybe we are just missing each others point. No worries.
I don't think Trump is smart enough to do an objective review of certain works to derive deeper meaning or reveal some truth. I really doubt he had too much of general interest either. in particular it rubbed me wrong that Ivana was claiming it was a bit of Czechoslovakian nationalism that had him reading the German works of an Austrian?I don't see a problem with owning/reading Mein Kampf or studying Hitler and the Nazis.
agreed. Obama gave one to himself. saw the pictures of it on the internet.I don't know why the Presidential Medal of Freedom is held in such high regard, when the President can just give it to whoever the hell he wants to. Trump gave one to Rush Limbaugh. He also gave one to multiple donors of his. No award has any true meaning when you can buy it.
or a friend gave him the book and told Trump he might find it interesting, so Trump read from it from time to time.Yeah...that's what Trump is about.

I think trump is a narcissistic sociopath who has great admiration for Hitler.you really think TRUMP is sitting and reading a whole book "from time to time"? you are giving his attention span and intelligence far more credence than I do. funny how that always flips for you guys, he is some diabolical schemer, but he mentally can't navigate the stairs. at least with Biden most on the right weren't saying he was the brains of the operation while Biden gave us a 50 yard stare.
to me it sounds more like he picked up and read a few pages every once and a while. especially since he didn't even know what it was.
If he was interested in populism, he should read William Jennings Bryan, Huey Long or Andrew Jackson. I believe like you said that Trump doesn’t read books so I would find it unlikely that he picks up a copy of Mein Kampf or anything else for that matter. To be clear, I was talking about Trump. I have no problem with anybody finding it interesting how we was able to win the masses. I have no problem with anybody having a historical interest in it. I imagine you are very well read on history. It's not weird at all for you to read this. I still have no idea how it would be useful to you. You already have a mindset that is a foundation against Hitler or anybody like him convincing you to fascism.
But if you're Trump and probably not all that well read on history...it would be weird to be so interested in his speeches if it's nit for the sake of learning to be a successful populist

there isn't a hole lot that ties together except for geography and the nazi ideology.
I really think he was just reading a couple lines at a time, and that was the end of it. nothing wrong with it; I am just not willing to accept some greater motive, either him being a Nazi sympathizer or he was taking a historical interest in past events.
