You really can say the same thing about Donald Trump's friendship with Jeffrey Epstein. He was very quiet on Epstein matters, until Epstein was indicted. Even now, Trump mostly avoids any discussion of him.

You are showing a very clear double-standard here, and it does seem to be down party lines. Epstein's conduct had been talked about long before he was finally held accountable for it as well.

I have said that I have no reason to believe that Trump was aware of Epstein's conduct, although, Trump's line about Epstein liking his women to be "on the younger side," doesn't sound great. You, on the other hand, are a tribal hypocrite.

Except everyone in Hollywood knew his reputation and power for decades before it became public. But please, keep believing the most powerful woman in media was oblivious while posing and smiling. There is a great deal of cognitive dissonance with this post as well. You are making very broad and unproven assumptions about Oprah Winfrey, that you will not make about Donald Trump. That is clearly due to political partisanship.

There were rumblings about Jeffrey Epstein going back before Trump stopped flying on Epstein's private jet. As @volfanhill pointed out earlier, Trump even appointed former Epstein prosecutor, Alex Acosta, to be his Secretary of Labor, even though Acosta had granted Epstein a cushy plea agreement without first consulting with Epstein's victims. If I had the same mentality as yourself, I would call that an example of Donald Trump being a "rapist sympathizer, encourager and enabler," and then say the same thing about you, because after all .... you are giving Trump the benefit of the doubt.

I'm not doing that though. There is no proof that Trump had knowledge of Epstein's criminal conduct before it became public, and there is no proof that Oprah Winfrey had any knowledge of Harvey Weinstein's conduct either .... Matt Damon and Jude Law worked with Weinstein on "The Talented Mr. Ripley" in 1998, and have said that they were unaware that he was harassing Gwyneth Paltrow .... and Paltrow has backed them up on that. She was afraid to speak out. That was common.

Where you are willing to give Trump the benefit of doubt over Epstein ... You are unwilling to do the same thing for Winfrey. That is a politically-motivated double-standard.

I would say morally there is an issue with all three, legally and my caring for fellow person would leave two of them as their own choice. Once morality is removed there really is no difference between any of them.
