I wonder if an honest polling were able to be done, how many Progressives would answer “Yes” to the question -Some may not open the article after reading "Canadian born NY Times Contributor" and I totally understand that ...
From the article:
Szalai’s piece, ‘The Constitution Is Sacred. Is It Also Dangerous?’ suggests that the document may be one of the biggest threats to America’s politics, describing it as “a document that is essentially antidemocratic and, in this day and age, increasingly dysfunctional.”
She criticizes the Electoral College and laments the Constitution’s protection of minority rights as a “tyranny of the minority” and a “disempowerment of majorities” and blames the founding document for being responsible for President Trump’s election in 2016.

That was tongue in cheek. She should be good to go assuming she's on the rolls.
I remember a short application and birth cert for kids. My spouse filled it out. Wife's biological dad was full so it was an easy process.
I think you, I, and a bunch of others would be surprised of the number of YES responses. The Constitution does not mix well with the Kamala/Walz view of the country and if she is elected they will push against it from multiple directions.I wonder if an honest polling were able to be done, how many Progressives would answer “Yes” to the question -
Does the US Constitution need to be rewritten?
Regarding appointments to the Supreme Court only change would be Term Limits 20 years vs lifetime appointments. Maybe even shorten it or expand it, but twenty years seems reasonable which is 5 Presidential terms. No lifetime appointments.Of course for some in this country, a bad person and mean tweets are more of a concern ...
From the article:
The future of the Supreme Court is on the line in November’s elections. If Vice President Kamala Harris and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer are victorious in November, the independent Supreme Court that the Framers bequeathed to us will be a thing of the past. That’s one of the big reasons why Harris must be defeated in her campaign for president, and why Schumer must be demoted to Minority Leader.
Schumer said before the Senate left town for its August recess that if the results of the November elections leave him in place as Majority Leader and Democrats in control of the White House, he will push Supreme Court reforms hard in the next Congress – and he said he was willing to eliminate the filibuster to pass the Democrats’ agenda, if need be.
In a few short months, America’s voters will decide – will they stand with the Constitution and its independent judiciary? Or will they side with the Democrats, determined as they are to destroy the rules of the Senate to violate the independence of the judiciary – to become, in other words, tyrants? The stakes could not be clearer, or higher.
So, this guy is currently President. He should be 25th’d but then Kamala would literally have to own being president and not be able to hide and campaign at her convenience.
But, this way she gets more time to work on her pandering…
Daddy Obama wasn’t around to tell her what to say. Obama isn’t black either. He came out of a white woman at birth and didn’t know his deadbeat “Dad” until he was 10. Like Tupac said just over 25 years ago “We ain't ready, to see a black President.” If you’re a middle aged person you likely won’t in your lifetime. My town is 221 years old and the first ever African American Mayor was elected just last week.Kamala Harris Retreats in Scramble to Defend Blue States

Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign is going on defense as former President Donald Trump gains steam in blue states after Harris’s failure to achieve a post-convention bump, which most modern campaigns take for granted.
On Wednesday, Harris will reportedly visit New Hampshire — where she enjoyed only a four-point advantage, according to an Emerson College/WHDH survey before the convention — for a campaign event yet to be announced. Walz will be in his home state of Minnesota, where Trump has cut Harris’s lead from ten to only five points since Walz joined the ticket, according to two KTSP/SurveyUSA polls. Emhoff will reportedly cross the Potomac River for a fundraising trip in Virginia, another state where Trump has polled unexpectedly strong in the 2024 cycle.

Her mom is Indian, her dad is a black Jamaican (though a lot have European DNA along the way)..so technically she may be half black.. but the fact we keep focusing on it, her included in this also, makes it sort of racist.. why can’t she just be an American or a person? That would be my suggestion to her, but nobody asked meWhy does Kamala Harris pretend to be black?
