2024 Presidential Race

It seems curious that a Republican thinks they should dictate who the Democratic nominee will be.

The political process is and was ugly. Ultimately, the Dems have a far better candidate than Joe in Kamala.

Let the chips fall where they may today.
Believe it’s the Democrats who should dictate who the nominee should be. But you knew that, or did you not?

sure. but what about everyone else?

I despise Trump. I am one of the original never Trumpers on this board. But I know from second hand information there was no leak in Mercedes Benz stadium to shut down counting last time.

then you have videos of the counters putting up panels to keep the observers from seeing anything.

even this time there was a video, from Kentucky I believe, where the voter was trying to click on Donald Trump and it never did but eventually registered a vote for Kamala.

then you have the flat refusal to even require basic ID to vote.

heck you can even throw in the ballot box burnings, the "voting officials" turning people away and several other cases of conservatives up to shady, if not illegal, stuff. its not a one sided issue. none of gives much confidence that we can really trust what is happening.

with all of those circumstances, and exceptionally long counting periods, questions are always going to creep in, even for those without a side.
Could that be because the pipe burst occurred at State Farm Arena? That’s what every news report about it on the first page of Google results said.

Re: Nate Silver and "he doesn't know"...

If we all knew we wouldn't need his expertise. I love how these experts are saying "we don't know". That's what they're paid to do

JMO: comparing early turnout to 2020 may turn out to be predictive, but it seems unlikely and silly. 2020 was a doubly unique situation with COVID and Trump telling republicans that early voting by mail was fraud.

NC might be the exception where it’s obvious that a bunch of deep red counties that probably have reason to be frustrated with the current government have apparently turned out bigly.

FWIW, Nate Silver’s final forecast was Kamala 50.015%, Trump 49.085%.
My deep red NC county had 61% voter turnout in early voting. I don't know if that is predictive of anything, but it is an impressive early voting turnout. I can remember plenty of elections that didn't hit 35% total.

I don't know a single Democrat who things it's impossible for Trump to win legitimately. Why do so many Republicans think it's impossible for Harris to win legitimately?

The "virile" party of "personal responsibility" has just become a bunch of whiney toddlers.

There are people on this board who could count the votes themselves and still not believe them if Trump lost.

I just want to see the signatures on the 2020 mail-in ballots vs the signature on file. No one can say with certainty what happened in 2020 without seeing what ballots were rejected (very few) and what was allowed.

Not to the same degree - not even close.

trump intentionally sowed the seeds of distrust....and the country suffers as a result..........trumpism

Can you show me your posts where you criticized Jamie Raskin for his recent comments? Or your posts criticizing Hillary for not accepting the 2016 results?

I assume they are not the same degree either.

Probably because she didn’t even make it to Iowa in the primaries in 2019. Also, the fact that even your own party knew she was awful and talked about it until late July and then all of a sudden she was the greatest thing that’s ever happened to the Party. Those are just the general reasons. She also has zero substance.

To be fair, I wish more took that approach during Covid. You know, instead of silencing opposing viewpoints and traumatizing our children for no good reason.

regale is all with the Steele Dossier, Russian Collusion, very fine people, march to the capital and Hunter laptop suppression. If you want to say intentionally sowed the seeds of distrust. No need to mention 3am ballots arriving for one candidate for a drastic chart shift.

That's actually pretty good. There are games every week where the losing team actually feels as if they should have won.

The next level is "was there actually a conspiracy against your team?"
As a Vol Fan, I go back and forth on that one 😂
It seems like there is a conspiracy to never call a hold against our opponents sometimes 😉

None of that has to do with the casting of votes. Dems believe that Trump can very easily win - and legitimately - the election. Why do you goobers deny that it's very possible for Kamala to do the same?

Harris Campaign Tells Muslim interviewer he can't ask about Gaza, She Talks Up Bacon instead: 'Taken aback'

The Muslim influencer was reportedly told the Israel-Gaza war was off-limits in the interview

Kamala Harris' interview with a Muslim social media influencer never saw the light of day after the vice president refused to answer questions about Gaza but oddly gushed about bacon - a food religiously forbidden for Muslims.

Kareem Rahma, host of the popular "Subway Takes" which boasts almost a million combined followers on Instagram and TikTok, made the decision to scrap the interview with Harris, which was filmed over the summer, he told the New York Times.

Prior to the interview, Rahma was hoping to press Harris on policy, specifically the Biden administration's support for Israel amid the ongoing war in Gaza, which he opposes, per the Times. But, despite asking on three calls with her team and the Democratic National Committee, he was "rejected."

Instead, the campaign agreed that Harris would offer a "hot take" against people taking off their shoes on airplanes. The show's premise revolves around guests, some of them notable, defending an unpopular opinion or perspective.

Since when does any campaign get to tell an interviewer what is and isn’t “off limits”? That seems like a violation of a core principle of journalistic ethics.

I don’t . I was just using that as opportunity to show how bad of a candidate she is. I think it’s the same as 2020. It’s not about your party winning it’s about your party not losing to Trump. That’s where we are on both sides unfortunately. I just happen to find the sum of your Parties parts to be worse than Trumps .

Because only a few short weeks ago her approval numbers were below those of even Joe Biden. Her own party believed she was the worst possible replacement for Biden.
But she gets selected as the nominee anyway and her poll numbers skyrocket into positive territory overnight?
Yeah right. We ALL believe that 🙄

So in your mind, it's impossible that Trump loses this election legitimately. If he wins fine, but if he loses there HAD to be cheating?
