2024 Presidential Race

This is the disconnect :

Neither side wants to talk about their own candidate.

I will be the first to admit that I'm guilty of it too. I have spent very little time defending Kamala Harris, and even less time touting her policy agenda (where she has been comically vague in discussing). She has been so short on substance and specifics, I wouldn't even know how to go about defending her policies. she is a lightweight. That's being generous.

Now, having said that ....

Most conservatives / Republicans / Trump supporters on here seem just as reluctant to talk about Donald Trump. It is clear that most of you would much prefer to discuss Kamala Harris and Joe Biden than you would Trump. You make no effort to understand why I despise Trump just as much as you do Harris and Biden. I believe that Trump offers nothing but chaos. He did not demonstrate strong leadership during his first time at all. He is a narcissistic egomaniac. He is an immature blowhard, who avoids accountability and taking responsibility for anything. The buck never stops with him. Every indication is, that he only cares about himself.

They are both awful candidates. That is why I only want to talk about Trump, and you only want to talk about Harris. I will vote for Harris because I am more in favor of a liberal agenda, than I am a conservative one. Simply put, Harris will appoint liberal judges to the federal courts and the Supreme Court, and Trump will appoint more conservative judges, and I don't think we need another conservative on the Supreme Court.
Politics, especially when you have a 2 party system, is divisive by nature. Most of our elections throughout the history of the country have been more of "the other person is terrible" rather than "my person is great."

What exactly is a liberal agenda and what do you hope a liberal judiciary will do?

A clear, compelling, and well-thought post. Hope this is a sign of your overall health in your real life. Reach out if you need help.

We still have to work out if choosing which D's go to camps or are summarily executed is Federal or left up to the States. Probably have to go to SCOTUS on that one.
I think some SCOTUS are on the political enemies list.

I don't feel badly for them. they had their chance to worship dear leader.

you really think they hired Steele because he was a private citizen with no affiliations? are you that naive that they went out and hired some civilian who knows nothing more than the general public to dig up crap on Trump? if he is still marketing his skills and doing work in the industry, he isn't just a citizen. he wasn't uncovering/making up information that was publically available. I very much doubt "he is a retired X" holds up as a defense in too many court cases. at least if it was my industry it doesn't.

most people don't give Putin's FSB/KGB background a pass because he is "retired", not sure why Steele would get a pass either. heck his CIA background was used against Bush. with the incestual relationships developed in DC, I doubt its different with the Brits, with lobbyists becoming politicians, and politicians becoming lobbyists, spys becoming politicians, generals becoming lobbyists and politicians, its not really an argument to try and defend the report of a "retired" spy as just something a civilian could do.

and they didn't have Steele knocking on doors or handing out pamphlets. that is a complete mischaracterization to say he was helping with the Clinton campaign. nothing he did had anything to do with actual campaigning. he was hired to dig up dirt on Trump.
You typed all of that and managed to add nothing to either of the relevant points.

First relevant point: You spent years whining about Trump being investigated for the exact same thing. And now you want somebody to take a second look at Steele even though, according to you, it was already looked into?

But it wasn’t exactly the same, was it? Trump’s campaign was meeting and sharing info with known, active, non-retired agents of an adversarial foreign government that was known to be engaged in a campaign to help him win the election. And even that wasn’t clearly illegal, according to people with far more subject matter experience than either of us.

But sure, they might have gotten a pass on hiring Steele for other reasons.

Second relevant point: whether it was illegal to hire Steele would depend on the contents of statute, which I asked you for and you did not provide.

The statute is needed to make sense of what you mean when you say “foreign agent” because you seem to be avoiding a definition in order for that term to mean whatever you need it to mean. In short: you’re at the collusion stage of the horseshoe.

Pick a lane. Either you suddenly think “collusion” should be investigated and is sanctionable, regardless of whether it’s actually illegal, or you still don’t.

There isn't time in one post to get into that. LOL. I'm sure you can figure out what is important to me, just by looking back through my posting history.

Actually I can't. The vast majority of your past posts are rambling condemnations of Trump and his supporters, they don't go much into policy.

Honestly....I really like Kamala until she starts to speak. My mind instantly turns to mush the moment she attempts to put together word Salads. Who knows, she could be one hell of an interior decorator though. Expect an even bigger $hit show if she is elected because even an absent minded Joe is a better choice. It will be interesting to see the policies Kamallalaalalla will put into action if elected.

Joe? President Biden must have being doing something right in order to stay in politics for as long as he has without doing anything good at all. The longevity is impressive even though he sucks. The good news is that he loves ice cream just like me.

If Trump isn't elected, then I expect the vag hats to multiply in droves. Really glad we had this talk double B.

I'd believe that when I see it. If not for "progressive" views, what do they have? It's not the economy, middle class, not foreign policy (unless our foreign policy is to be liked). All they have are identity politics and abortion.
That’s true to an extent. The progressives needed a Trojan horse to get elected and Dems needed the numbers. It Trump pulls off the double win, the party will remain the views outside abortion will be reviewed.

Is it too soon to discuss Trump's plan to put Ds in concentration camps and execute political enemies if he wins election???
They're all leaving the country. There won't be anyone to concentrate.

Also, if you just tell them everything is free and they have solar and wind they'll go willingly.
