2024 Presidential Race

Let's assume you are correct. The GOP has no excuse this time and should enact substantive long-term change.

I'm skeptical because they could have done it before and didn't. As before, ran on it, tinkered on the edges, but that was it.
He was building the wall until the midterms in 2018 when the House went blue.
We need the wall finished so nobody that isn't vetted can just walk in. Then we can figure out who is in line to become legal citizens that has been waiting for years following the legal path and go from there.

Trump really won 2020. Replacing Ronna McDaniel with Lara Trump who put together a network of attorneys and hundreds of thousands of poll watchers in swing states and stopped the Dems from pulling anything like they did in 2020. The RNC did not allow any stop counting, covering up windows, not allowing watchers be thrown out, no shinnanigans like happened in Atlanta...........and Trump wins.

I don't think it's some mystery or conspiracy. I think what you're seeing in that graph are people who are motivated out of intense dislike for a president seeking reelection

I really hope this "stolen election" stuff goes away now, although I suspect it won't. If elections can just be stolen when "they" want to steal them, why didn't they steal this one? Or 2016, for that matter?

I mean, in 2020 Trump was an incumbent President trying to get re-elected in the middle of a pandemic where people were scared and unemployment was in the double-digits (and was briefly 20%+ earlier in the year). It was an insanely tough hill for him to climb, and the election was still pretty close.

Mail-in ballots. Insanely boosted turnout. It was a weird time. The Republican vote total was way up too. If there wasn't a pandemic, Trump almost surely would have won in 2020.
Trump's vote total was not off much yesterday from 2020. Buden's total vote completely skewed from cheating, from ballot box stuffing, counting fraudulent ballots, late ballots, illegal ballots......Dems did not get away with yesterday with what they did in 2020.

Anyone think we should have the cops swing by Luther’s place for a wellness check?

He was a complete mess by the end of last week. He's probably trying to figure out more creative ways to tell the Nazis they are wrong and how stupid they are.

According to some guy on MSNBC, this "overly qualified" black female lost because blocks of voters could not vote for:

1) a woman
2) a black woman
3) a black woman in an interracial marriage.

SMH.
Why try to listen to what voters have been saying for months when you can just broadly call them racist and misogynist?

This sort of tone deaf argument is exactly why MAGA became so popular.

Thanks for the concern. Went to bed about 10:30 so I missed all of the fun.
If trump was going to win, I would prefer for him to also win the popular vote,
It's clear that he was the people's choice.
Sounds like you are starting the day on a good path! I hope we can all keep the poison out of our mouths and come together a bit.

Have a great day sir

As a right-leaning moderate (I didn't vote for Trump but was pulling for Harris to lose), here's my fear. Republicans have wrestled political control in all federal branches and are pulling to the right as hard as they can. But the American voters retaliate in a few years and all that pulling turns out to be a slingshot effect that sends us way to the left of what we've ever seen before.

I guess what I'm saying is, R's have ALL the power right now. So they better use it wisely in the next couple years. Everyone is watching and there are no excuses. If they F this up y'all ain't seen nothin yet from the loony left. If they do well, it will force the D's to move to center.

Yup.

The good news on that is that Trump is less interested in the long term health of a political party than he is his own image so he won't be about paving the way for the next guy.

Really it is not…..their conservative values are more in line with the R’s.
Their communities too (like any community) are harmed by the “revolution “. They are family people that work hard. Mostly happy. How does legalizing crime help them? It doesn’t.

Leftist philosophy works better for rich people that can isolate the effects in not-my-neighborhood, but that’s not what it’s really about. It’s really about people who would like to be made unhappy. The democrats offer so much help in that area. There are a lot of people who enjoy that but I guess there just weren’t enough of them yesterday.

Or it was the fact Americans could vote without leaving the house. The dems embraced it while the gop demonized it.

Fox news exit polling showing Dem support among the Jewish population to be at a 36 year low. That seems to jive to with what we saw in high Jewish populated areas in FL, PA, NJ, and NY.

That's no surprise. For the anti war wing of the GOP there's going to be some cognitive dissonance on the horizon.

There really isn't much wrong with the immigration laws, enforcement is a different story. At this point additional legislation and funding may be needed but only because for the last 30 years of the lack of enforcement.

You paid for the mess, you will have to pay for the cleanup. I don't see it happening.

There needs to be mass deportations of illegals, but I doubt he does it. That would be rounding up millions that came in over the last 4 years. Also change asylum law and birthright citizenship (anchor baby).

There was a pandemic, man. And Trump told his voters/supporters to not vote early or use mail-in ballots.

It's fine to just admit that he lost. If it makes you feel better, look at it this way; he took 2 out of 3 games in a series everybody thought he'd get swept in, and in Game 2 he was missing a couple of his best players due to injury. It's been an impressive electoral performance overall.

So more people voted for Biden last election because he is so much more exciting than Hillary, Obama, or Harris? I don’t buy it. Looks even more suspicious now

No, it's the economy. In 2020, the economy was in bad shape (because of COVID). Trump lost...

In 2024, inflation is still there. Kamala lost...

Really not more complex than that

Bullshat. He lost in 2020 and won last night.

Biden won in 2020 because the economy was in the crapper because of COVID...
