2024 Presidential Race

I'm glad you qualified that as your opinion, but if you see a difference humanistically between those two, you have a warped opinion.

Now JD no the other hand, will be your next prez in '28. His abilties to orate and his presence out front will not be easliy challenged. Nor will his character be easy to dismantle. And he's virtually untouchable in all critical areas becasue of his wife.
Or maybe the opposite.

Doesn't seem to have any concept that this kind of thing is precisely why Kamala lost.

I think something is happening right before our eyes. Social media provides anyone a platform who wants it. Some excel at cultivating an audience. Their influence grows. But they are not beholden to the concept they represent a larger philosophy, party, or candidate. The aren't concerned with growing a movement. They only want to appeal to a larger audience. So they say what is on their mind, unfettered. The opposition therefore makes no distinction between the influential individual and the ideals or people with which they align.
Demeaning, belittling, condescending remarks about that opposition feels like it is sanctioned by party leaders. They are then motivated to fight against.

Both.
I agree in the sense that I will continue to agitate when I believe agitation is needed.
But I disagree in the sense that I now have a vastly different standard on when agitation is needed.
Can you differentiate the different standard now compared to then?

No excuse for Biden not to congratulate Trump at this point. You know, signal your support for a peaceful transition of power
No matter what he says (or tries to say), you can't convince me he isn't giddy on the inside that Kamala got destroyed. It would take a heck of a lot of character to avoid pulling for the demise of one who took your place against your will.

I'm good, appreciate the concern. Everything is all red now, you guys have no excuses. Let's see how it all plays out.

Very true, the Rs have no excuses now. Controlling both houses and the McCain, Romney, Ryan faction being in the dust bin of history there is absolutely no excuses for them not enacting promised legislation.

That might actually just be the way forward for dumb people. I'm totally serious.

For smart people, change may start with analysis of a problem. But that's just my opinion.

I try not to talk in platitudes, ever, but sometimes a person can't help it. I think platitudes also are just for dumb people.

In this case, more importantly, I don't think congress, the senate, and the president will work together to change anything. I base that on the fact that they haven't done it before when they had the chance. Trump doesn't take any interest in some of the problems that would make a real difference. A really good example of that is the public debt. It's going to take adult discussion, I think, to decide exactly what to do about the public debt. Ross Perot said "it's unconscionable" when it was a tenth of the size it is now.
Honest analysis requires an open mind. Without that, what is the use?

To take your words, I think Trump has analyzed his first term and has learned from it. I think that is what lead to last night.

I am hopeful he takes the next four years and enacts the policies that he has run on. Elections have consequences and those who voted for him have the right to see that happen.
