she has a great personality. but what's beyond that? falling back on 'trump is bad, mkay?' what about your ideas? your policies? He appealed to the people because he went where they are. He could sit with Rogan for 3hrs and sound like a human. Not understanding the huge shift in consumed media was a major misstep but I'm not sure she had the personality to pull it off anyways
Can someone help me understand the argument against requiring an ID or proof of citizenship to vote? It just seems like common sense to me that it should be required. What am I missing?
Does Ukraine have sovereignty and autonomy over its affiliations?Might as well discuss here.
My thoughts are simple. Putin cannot allow Ukraine to join NATO, that would be admitting defeat and the wasting of Russian lives andnt treasure for nothing so IMO an invitation to NATO just might push Russia to use weapons of mass destruction. How could he stay in power with such a defeat?
If Putin did use a nuke or biological/chemical weapon in Ukraine I think NATO would be compelled to join the war regardless of Ukrainian membership. NATO cannot allow the use of a WOMD on European soil to go unchallenged.
Typically the two terms are somewhat interchangeable, even though there are varying formal differences that are accepted. You get into some real hair splitting here.this is news to me. can you elaborate?
At least in the immediate aftermath, it seems like no lessons are being learned at all.
He should have let it be known he was not running after the mid-terms and endorsed her or endorsed and open primary. This is where it’s Biden’s fault for running again, IMO.
Once they kicked him to the curb, the party had to quickly rally behind one person and picking a senator or governor may have opened the door to other senators and governors asking “why not me?” A contested convention would have been a mess.
@Orangeslice13 had this conversation when it happened. He pointed out that she was an awful candidate, and I agreed, but I thought she was the best choice they could make under the circumstances. Circumstances created by Biden leveraging his incumbency to squash the primary field before it got started.
Ironically, I’m not sure he would have done much worse if they had just left him on the ticket. That might be one the worst performances by a Democrat since Mondale.
I can refer to people from central and south america as hispanic but they may consider that as me using it as a euphemism for 'someone from Mexico'?Typically the two terms are somewhat interchangeable, even though there are varying formal differences that are accepted. You get into some real hair splitting here.
However, (right, wrong, or indifferent) in the everyday world Hispanic often is thought of as mexican, whereas latino is more associated with the vast majoirty of carribbean and lower central and south america...non-mexican. You don't want to mistake a Guatamalen for instance for a Mexican...to his face. An insult that would rile 'em up.

It's not.Tell me that's some kind of deep fake, AI generated spoof. If not, it says a lot that she thinks a flawless campaign is one in which Queen Latifa, Beyonce, and Taylor Swift endorses you. That's a perfect microcosm of the liberal elite's problem: they're completely out of touch with everyday Americans.
Yes. Elon is the hero we needed. He basically risked his entire fortune and maybe even his freedom (many of the left actually want to jail him) in order to First buy X and then to back Trump. Was listening to Elon on Rogan, if he didn’t buy Twitter we were all screwed. All of social media was basically government controlled at that point; hell even Zuckerberg came out and said they were unduly influenced by the Dems. If most of your media and all of the social media is controlled by one side, it’s over for the other side.
