2024 Presidential Race

Left-leaning MSNBC's Morning Joe hit the airwaves at 6am ET and its hosts were left dumbfounded by the results.

'I think we have to acknowledge that Donald Trump knows our country better than we do. I think he figured out that anger — and frankly, fear — were way more powerful than appealing to people's better angels,' said contributor Claire McCaskill.

'That anger and fear were going to work in this election. Whether you're afraid of immigrants or afraid of people who are trans, he figured that out. And I think we all thought everyone's better angels would prevail. Turns out, the better angels went on vacation when Donald Trump came down the escalator. And they haven't returned.'

'I've got to say, this is the biggest red wave I've seen since Ronald Reagan's 49 state victory in 1984. It seems every Republican across the country improved,' anchor Joe Scarborough said.

'America, first of all, is far more to the Right than any time in our lifetimes. Even going back to the Reagan years. And Donald Trump won in dominating fashion.

'The scope and scale of this victory is sweeping… This is a Democratic Party that has been just wiped out this morning.'

'White Dude for Harris' has Epic Meltdown as he realizes Trump is going to win election

A 'White Dude for Harris' supporter was seen having an epic meltdown on election night after realizing Donald Trump was going to emerge victorious.

A video posted to X showed a man screaming profanities before ripping off his shirt and storming off camera.

One user suggested that the shirt was pre-cut so he could rip it off, zooming in on the neckline to show the pre cut holes

bet this is a fake

In retrospect, Trump's handling of Covid contributed more to Trump's downfall in 2020 than anything. MSM's play on it was a big factor as well.
Because of Covid and the MSM's input, Trump should get a second go at it.
Another factor that I have often discussed and truly believe is that the Office of the President of the United States is not designed or built for a woman. I don't ever think that any of us will see a woman as President.

Trump is going to Trump and it may be the shake up that DC needs.
Some of the coattail riders may need to go but Trump maybe a wake up call if he follows through on some of his promises regarding immigration/economy and taxes. I still have concerns regarding economy and the markets as I feel that the markets is on stilts and the slightest of wrong moves may cause some problems. We will get through it.

The market is going to do what the market does which is to go up, down and sideways.
We are going to hear a lot of clamor regarding what happen during this election and my best advice is to believe nothing of what you hear/read and half of what you see.

Regardless, Covid screwed up his first Presidency and cost him the election in 2020. Some of you want to find the missing 15 million votes, well, spend the next 4 years doing so. That is the basic difference between a loser and a winner. Looking back and not forward.

You should flip over to cnn and msnbc

Sour grapes were what Republicans did 4 years ago. This is called holding people accountable for past transgressions.

Basically :

Elections are fair when Republicans win ....

Elections are fraudulent when Republicans lose.

Kari Lake is going to claim that her Senate election defeat in Arizona was rigged, but does that make any sense at all? If Democrats were going to rig her election, then why didn't they rig the Presidential Election on the same damn ballot?
there is a lot less talk this go around assigning the loss to Russian facebook adds too, and collusion collusion collusion. no real accusations of trump trying to unduly influence various state races by calling the officials, just need a few more votes type of things.

HOPEFULLY, but not likely, everyone is just worn out from all the divisive rhetoric and is ready to move on.

also in this case the results are even further apart. its natural to have questions in a close loss, but when you get your butt beat you aren't going to blame the process as much. as I posted above, the Dems really need to do some introspection, but they haven't yet.

There are women that could, and I think might possibly do a good job, but Harris isn't even close to that. I would gladly vote for a female if they truly were my preferred candidate.

preliminary demographics.

some interesting outcomes:

20% of black male vote; 12% overall (Trump)
45% of hispanic/latino vote (Trump)
small age gap
44% of union members (Trump)
children under 18 51% (Trump)

1st time voters 54% (Trump)

1st time my 21yo has been able to vote. He keeps stuff close to his vest, and he is also quiet and reserved. We have some active members in here whose kids are literally in distress today. Mine ain't like that thank God. So he just said he wasn't talking politics. Wouldn't divulge who he voted for. But at one time before they ran him off, he did mention RFK's name. If I had to guess, that's where he cast his vote. I told him I loved him regardless, but he would only get fed if he voted anyone besides Harris.

I agree. It wasn't just a repudiation of Harris and the Biden administration last night ... but of the entire Democratic Party. There needs to be a change in fundamental ideology, and in their approach to relating to the American public. The American public has rejected the Democratic Party in it's current configuration.

For what purpose? I rarely watch either. My wife watches Fox. We do go to MSNBC to see the meltdown, but I will bet that CNN has not been on any of our TVs since 2002.

Because all they’re doing is looking back and making the same horse💩 arguments. Racists. She was a woman. She was associated with Biden and only had 107 days. They can’t accept she was simply the worst possible candidate and if Biden had decided to not seek reelection she would have never even been the nominee.
