Thought writer did a good job of putting blame where it needed to be.

Truth is - the base was always going to vote. According to her own people, there was infighting.

Told my family during campaign, Trump was everywhere. There wasnt one day where he was NOT in the news cycle.

Article says her own staff kept her boxed up. Had to minimize the amount of public appearances for Tim Walz, bc she would never be overshadowed.

Said she had to prep for days for an appearance. Says newfound 'confidence' and momentum after Trump debate evaporated. Says they nipped at each other, and campaign never got off the ground. Her confidence wained, and perhaps self esteem or what not, she fell back to these 'Democratic back patting' appearances.

Recall seeing her Cooper interview and thinking WTF?

And then there was issue of Biden. The elephant in room. Two steps forward, three steps back. Couldnt congeal far left, bc of Israel. Didnt appeal to male voters, esp new voters.

To me writing on wall was when hispanics and blacks said they were voting for a racist.

This time it wasnt really what the Dems didnt do. Its what Trump did do. He beat her ass.

Only partly. I too want two healthy parties; but I don’t see the progressive party being viable until they admit that they have totally lost their way. Tweaking the edges of the democrat party will not get it done and watching the after election musing from the left; they are still blaming sexism, racism, and „failure to get message across“ for their loss.
Until they admit that their ideas of identity politics and division just aren’t being accepted by most Americans anymore; they will not change.
The current democrat party has to keep losing until the truth sinks in. The problem ISN’T with us, the voters. The problem is with them, the party:

I'd be ok with a dead period...... Just to insure no recidivism. Say 5 to 10 years........ consequences are warranted imo. But we make things very difficult for felons for far too long.

It is a critical time. Four years that will determine the future. If Trump can get the economy back on track and continue to make gains with minorities; this would be a generational realignment. Especially if Vance can solidify the recent flip of PA, MI, and WI.
But the Republicans have to move fast and not waste a single day. It is pedal to the metal between Jan 2025 and Nov 2028
