He can eliminate the tax on SS thoughPractically speaking, he will have to do tax changes through Reconciliation process to get around filibuster rules. Same way he got TCJA through in 2017.
EO wouldnt work
Constitution aint happening.
Other path would be letting Ds in on drafting the bill and get consensus that way. This would probably involve a compromise to keep IRA, stock buyback tax, corporate minimum tax. Are the Ds willing to compromise to keep those 3 around? Probably not.
Those ”historians“ must have went to the same school that produced the “scientists” that gave us face diapers and 6’ social distancing.
Here we go again..**** em
Trump keeping promises?? Trump is a pure liar.I don't know. The one positive about Trump is that he aggressively pursues his promises. Even his critics can't deny him. Granted, he typically can't achieve 60% or so of what he wants but that was because others held him up. The Republican party in office now is more MAGA than ever. Not just the Republicans, but MAGA itself now controls pretty much every part of the Federal Government (or will if House continues to stay to trend). I can see some drastic change coming.
Granted, people are going to find out that State Governments have far more power than people think and states like California will be pretty successful in blocking 90% of the MAGA stuff.
Which states had the extra 15 million democratic votes that haven’t happened before or after 2020?In the 6 swing states (Arizona not yet included in either set since it is only 70% counted for 2024)
Trump (2020) 13,528,229
Biden (2020) 13,754,546
Total (2020) 27,282,775
Trump (2024) 14,172,977
Harris (2024) 13,561,141
Total (2024) 27,734,118
This narrative that all these votes magically appeared in swing states in 2020 and disappeared in 2024 is not supported by any data.
2024 is as of 8PM CST on 11/6 and will slightly increase as those 6 states count any straggling votes
Only a sociopath would call allowing people to choose how to spend their own money “fascism”. One of these days, maybe the “woke” will realize they’re the pawns protecting the old money by preventing new wealth.
The “progressives” want to preserve the wealth of the elites (status quo) so that they don’t have to witness their peers do better than them. Attack any new money (businesses) for fear of falling behind.
I don't think so. I think she's in the latter group. She's just a performance actor who probably doesn't even understand half the things she says. I'd put Bernie in the 1st camp. The sad truth about AOC compared to most liberals is that I really think AOC believes the stuff she is saying. She is that out there. Most of the rest of the left politicians are just liars that are using the process to enrich themselves.

I don't share her worries about fascism and authoritarianizm. The way I understand it, Trump's plan is to use fascism and authoritarianism only to eliminate his enemies. What I am surprised she isn't worried about is his plan to become dictator for life. The sad truth about AOC compared to most liberals is that I really think AOC believes the stuff she is saying.
