How can the left embrace states rights when their ONLY MESSAGE for this entire campaign was " Trump is gonna ban abortions nationwide and we will all be screwed!!"

Fwiw I am all for states rights. The Constitution clearly states that the vast majority of things should be decided at the state or local level. Thats why Roe v Wade was struck down right? Now, about that " War of Northern Aggression"....

The same reason they weaponized the non-change Supreme Court decision as to Presidential immunity. Nothing changed but they used it as a tool to get the nut jobs like Luther all worked up.

Plenty of accomplished scientists and medical professionals were behaving perfectly rational and grounded in data but were ostracized and marginalized because they questioned the Science™. When the pointed out the official party line was in fact NOT grounded in data they were dismissed (as you continue to do).

FDR and Lincoln will always rate high because they navigated the USA through major times of crisis and they were universally popular at their time. The "bad" laws/precedence they put in place wasn't really bad at the time, later courts and legislatures took advantage of it to turn these actions into something bad or the bad around it was just unforeseeable at the time (i.e. social security).

FDR will always be remembered for TVA which developed the South, relief during the time of the New Deal, and for navigating the USA, pretty successfully, through World War 2.

On the other hand, the system is rigged in favor of the ultra-wealthy getting wealthier. And they manipulate government to keep it that way. It is not sustainable.

Yeah, we'd be better off if we went to a more state run model for everything. That way everyone is equal and no individual can amass more wealth than the average.

there was actual science available. even early on, that said masks didn't work against Covid. you completely ignored that science and stuck with the scientist's lies about the masks. Fauci even told the truth about it at first, then pivoted without any new scientific studies to back it up. you went along for the ride, trusting the scientists and not the science.

you were pro doing ANYTHING, despite the lack of scientific evidence that doing what we did was actually better than nothing. including masks. you were willing to listen to the politicians and scientists who made you FEEL safer, rather than what the science was actually saying.

even when the vaccines were coming out and we were on to booster number 2 and the efficacy continued to drop, you maintained that we should be doing something that the science didn't support.

The wealthy are ALWAYS going to grow their wealth faster than the poor. The weathy have the overwhelming majority of their assets invested, so they get a return. Lincoln was heavily disliked. even in the north during the Civil War. he only had 55% of the popular vote in 1864, and thats taking from the very pro-Lincoln areas in the north. imagine if Trump only polled at 55% in the south where he had the most support. the messaging on Lincoln only changed after his assassination.

a lot of FDRs popularity is driven from the extremely friendly media, most Americans didn't even know he had polio and was wheel chair bound, makes Biden's sharp as a tack media look down right honest because at least that is somewhat subjective. a lot of the measures he took were busy body efforts whose actual impact are questioned. with some saying the New Deal prolonged our recovery, not sped it up.
