Kemi Badenoch Blames Donald Trump's Election Defeat To Joe Biden in 2020 for the UK's Failure To Get A Post-Brexit Trade Deal as the former President batters his remaining Republican rival Nikki Haley in New Hampshire

Kemi Badenoch has blamed Donald Trump's 2020 electoral defeat for the Government's failure to secure a free-trade deal with the US – a key goal of the UK's post-Brexit plans.

The Business Secretary claimed President Joe Biden's White House moved away from such deals, instead preferring to strike 'smaller packages on single issues'.

She said the change in administrations in Washington had been why the Government missed its manifesto pledge to strike trade deals by the end of 2022 with countries that account for 80 per cent of British trade.

Mrs Badenoch told MPs on the Business and Trade Committee: 'The biggest thing that had an impact on us reaching that objective was the change in administration from President Trump to President Biden.

'We were carrying out negotiations for a US FTA [free trade agreement]. The administration changed and the Biden administration is not doing FTAs.'

Color me surprised that the Biden Regime whose VP is officially labeled by herself as a "Democratic Socialist" as recently as the 2020 Dimwit Primaries was OPPOSED to the Capitalism and free market trade of a Free Trade Agreement with our closest ally in the world, England.

I am shocked. Shocked I tell you. Of course the Dimwits stance is as usual detrimental to both the US and England's economies....but who cares about silly things like economic security and prosperity???

Maybe we will find out in November.

Considering most of her donors are Democrats...

He really needs to be careful about alienating Nikki supporters. He might need them come November. He has nothing to fear from Nikki. He ought to ignore her and focus on Biden. Say to Nikki and her supporters "stay in as long as you want but when you're done, we'll welcome you under our tent"

A lot of Haley supporters will not vote for a gangster who does not respect the rule of law or our system of government. It's why he will lose--again. Is he going to gain more or less support from independents and moderates than in '16? The answer is less.

Neocon Nikki voters have more in common with Biden and the America Last Democrats than they do America First Trumpers. Eff'em.

The lowlife barnacle couldn't even wait until all the caskets had passed. We know he was on a nap schedule but still. He know his shills in the Make America Losers movement are walking around hypnotized.

Gold Star parents say Trump 'the man for the job,' blame 'coward' Biden for son's death in Kabul

The Gold Star parents of a Marine killed in President Biden's botched 2021 Afghanistan withdrawal told Fox News on the day of the Iowa caucuses Monday that former President Trump is the "man for the job," while blaming the incumbent for their son's death.

Darin Hoover Sr. also previously told Fox News he was incensed witnessing Biden repeatedly check his watch as his son's body was later unloaded during his dignified transfer at Dover Air Force Base, Del.

As long as Frisky Nikki stays in the race, Trump has to spend some of his cash to campaign against her.

The Trump campaign will not sit by and allow the Haley campaign to run attack ads for a month, without answering in kind.
Does Trump really need to do anything outside of rallies? He's skipped every debate and spent most of his time on social media. Also, Trump is so polarizing that I can't see him shifting many people to his side with a big media campaign. In 2024, most people already have an opinion of Trump.

Trump just can't allow Haley to attack him personally and politically with a huge number of TV and radio ads, and not answer them.

Yes he can unless you mean he is incapable. Haley is down big in the upcoming states. Let it go. Talk about Biden and pivot toward the general.

Have you told him about Biden's Vietnam deferments yet? You know the guy that bragged about being a college athlete.

Magic asthma. Momma said it could take me anywhere.

I'd like to see him stop with the personal attacks and tweets and focus on the policies...counter the "dictator" fear the DnC is pushing with simple truth of 3x ue could have tried to snatch power....floyd riots, J6, and covid...and he did not...short video and podcast would help his campaign alot

Hahaha. Good luck with that! The GOP, best I remember, didn't even have a platform in the 2016 election. The MAGA policies from that election were "Lock Her Up" and "Build that Wall."
MAGA support consists of folks who fear a changing demographic in this country and they don't know how to deal with it. I'll give Trump credit where it's due...at least he was smart enough to tap into this fear.

You don't understand--what a surprise. Nonsense is one word, by the way.

The disgust that moderates and progressives and many others, including many Republicans, have with the gangster has nothing to do with policies. It's very basic: He is not fit for any public offense, much less the presidency. He's not just a horrible human being--it's even worse than that: He is egregiously and transparently corrupt (fact); he is brazenly and perniciously dishonest (fact), he does not respect other people (fact), and he clearly does not respect America's rule of law or our system of government (fact), since he tried to subvert it. He's a lowlife. People with ethical standards expect our presidents to have integrity and character. MAGA have low to no ethical standards, apparently, and no real concept of civic duty, and certainly no grasp on reality, since many of them still support the creep. Policies are the least important issue with the man.

So, the response by you and those like you to Trumps low ethical standards and propensity to skirt the truth is to back, elect and praise a man that is an admitted and confirmed plagiarist (remember the election he had to drop out of because of it), habitual liar (examples of that are unending and are far too many to list), has made a laundry list of racist statements throughout his career, has praised, eulogized and called known racist, segregationists and KKK members his mentors and great friends (see Robert Byrd and Strom Thurmond) has made himself a multi multi millionaire off of a career in politics and on a government salary that can not add up to his wealth, and on top of that, the man can’t walk up a flight of steps, ride a bike or walk off of a stage without falling on his face?

What a brilliant strategy to to help America!

The next time you throw out the terms hypocrite and/or uneducated idiot, look in the mirror at the true culprit when you do it. Partisan fools like you are a dime a dozen in here.

If the goal is to beat Biden, then why waste money on Haillary? She has no chance of winning the Primary and even if for some reason she did win the Primary due to Trump's legal issues, she would get absolutely trounced in the General. This isnt hard (thats what she said).

Then again, maybe the donors #1 priority isnt beating Biden.
Every Haley campaign speech will become a Biden political ad during the general election.

I expect even more negative campaigning than usual. Some with a goal of convincing voters who might vote for the opposition to not vote. "I know you won't vote for my guy but you don't want to vote for your guy who can't form a complete sentence or find his way off a stage."

Yep, because Nikki Haillary's goal is to help the DNC candidate, not beat them. She has ZERO chance of winning the general. The GOP base wouldnt vote for her and moderates wont vote for her based on her abortion stance. It would be a Mondale'esque embarrassment.

I still do not believe Biden will be on the D ticket this fall but lets just say this is one of the rare occasions where I'm wrong and it is Biden v Trump in November. If that turns out to be the case who we need to be voting for is the VP on the ticket because neither Trump nor Biden is going to fulfil a 4 year term. So are you ready to put Harris in the WH?
I think Biden may want to win the election and resign soon after the inauguration.

This is a media narrative that doesnt play out when you talk to actual MAGA folks. They fear a changing POLITICAL demographic.

He needs to apologize to the American people for his Covid response, instead he brags about it. He also needs to explain what he learned from his many failures during his Presidency and how he will correct them if he gets 4 more.

Is Trump preferable to Biden for most Americans? Of course, but for many the juice isnt worth the squeeze with Trump.

I don’t foresee Trump apologizing for nor admitting any mistakes in his first term, that’s just not who he is, he’s way too ego driven and arrogant for that.
