I appreciate it. It’s been a rough go the last few months and I’m thankful to still be here. What I have is a gray zone lymphoma.

After 3 procedures to get a viable biopsy they ruled out lung cancer and thought I had non Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Not being 100% they did another procedure and while the pathologists took their sweet time I had to be put on life support not able to breathe. Eventually they determined I have a rare lymphoma and administered chemo the 2nd day I was on life support. It saved my life. That said I was on life support for 3 weeks, lost over 60 pounds, and suffered from a severe case of critical illness myopathy. I was essentially paralyzed for almost 3 months with a feeding tube and trach unable to speak. Went through a lot of rehab and eventually made it home. Still a long ways to go but I’m halfway through my chemo treatments and the oncologist has a positive outlook.

Don't give up! My father has beaten lymphoma twice in the last 6 years. He wanted to give up when it came back after only 1 year of being cancer free. He has a tremendous oncologist that refused to allow him to quit. Continues to recieve infusions and check-ups frequently. He's been cancer free the past year and a half and has his greatest bucket list item scheduled for this September (Bear hunting in Maine). Hang in there and I'll be praying for you 🙏🏻

Thanks I greatly appreciate it. My oncologist says this type of lymphoma is pretty aggressive but he likes to use the word “curable” a lot. I guess that’s a positive. He did say it has a high rate of reoccurrence but it is still treatable if it does come back. I have a scan Friday that will tell us where we are right now. I’ll see the oncologist Monday when I do my pre-chemo bloodwork and have my 4th infusion Tuesday. My last scan was in February and it showed the mass had shrunk some. That was after the initial chemo when I was on life support. I was in such bad shape when I finally came around that we had to wait until I got a bit stronger before we started treatment again. We’re not really counting that first one but we know it worked. My right lung is shot and he’s mentioned maybe removing it some time down the road. Right now he hopes it just kind of scars up and doesn’t give me any issues. All this started with a nagging cough that you really don’t think much about until one day you realize it’s not going away. Like bearcat said in the other thread about his heart don’t ignore the symptoms no matter how small. Anyway thanks and I’ll pray for your dad as well.

It is one of those things that is so bizarre .... it hardly matters if he's joking. That's just plain weird.

.... but for the record, Trump was being serious. Such is Trump's egotistical nature, that he is very susceptible to manipulation by way of flattery.

Maybe you pardon him after a conviction (and before it can be overturned on appeal) .... but you let it play out first.

Due to his ego, Trump is transactional. Say nice things about him, and he will take it at face value. Say negative things about him, and he will assign it a bias or some sort of malice. He is very simple-minded in that regard. It's always about him too, and personal. The last thing it would involve is diplomacy.
