You left out the crucial point, Earl: The Soviet Union was in the process of putting nuke weapons in Cuba. That is why Kennedy
and the U.S. intervened. Nothing like that is happening now. Sending ships to Cuba and putting nukes on Cuba are two very different
things--duh.
