2024 Presidential Race

You left out the crucial point, Earl: The Soviet Union was in the process of putting nuke weapons in Cuba. That is why Kennedy
and the U.S. intervened. Nothing like that is happening now. Sending ships to Cuba and putting nukes on Cuba are two very different
things--duh.
True, turbovol, but in fairness to the (swallowing hard) Soviets, the USA had station nuke tipped Jupiter rockets in Turkey. We didn't have silos back then, but the threat was just the same. We started the mess. Much as I hate admitting it, the USA policy and behavior, especially post-WWII was rather provocative. The Soviets responded in kind. Sadly, we are not the good guys we claim to be. The pity is, Eisenhower tried to steer us away from the 3war-loving military complex. And a murderous bastard though he was, Stalin actually tried to promote peaceful co-existence with the USA. But we refused, instead jumped into the Red Scare era. And promoted hostility towards Russia. Not that Russia was sweet little Peggy Poo, but we missed a chance for the Cold War to be wholly avoided.

Violent and drug gangs have been entering the USA since as far back as the Reagan Administration. You want to claim Bitten is the cause for everything from postpartum syndrome to Betelgeuse's approaching Super Nova explosion. You're a pathetic conspiracist, prevaricator.

Yes, Bitten's policy has allowed too many misfits, unfits, and more to cross over. But he is not the author of these kinds of people coming here. Our foreign policies and interventions in other nations' affairs, and a historic long-standing refusal by both party's administrations to fund a physical barrier along our border, is what led to the mess we have now. You on the other hand are a forked tongue speaker. The GOP had the votes and majority to fund an effective wall, but only made a halfhearted effort to do so. All while the likes of Steve Bannon stole even donated funds for their own pockets despite loudly howling for a border fence. But you don't want the truth of the matter, you just want blame-claim falsehoods and semi-truths that are more lies than the truth. I pity self-delusional things like you because you're incapable either recognizing or speaking the truth.

I don’t think MTG is stupid. But I don’t think she has many principles either. Glad she isn’t running for President
Beg to differ. She claims Trumpon and Jesus are both convicted felons. As a claimed Bible believer, she either reads it blindfolded, or not at all to make such a claim. Either that or she's incurably stupid.

Has this been brought up yet? Is anyone really surprised? Imagine how many we haven’t caught yet. How does any US citizen support this $hit? That’s a real question. Did you think it was just a bunch of dudes from Latin America coming in over the border?

I'm guessing that's just the tip of the iceberg. No telling how many terrorists have slipped into this country.

Unfortunately, I think you could very well be right. I don’t typically go to extremes one way or another , but I find this administrations open border policy treasonous. It has reeked of a power grab from the moment it started.

I chuckle at the Earls who like to denigrate Harris because she supposedly had an affair while supporting a man who's had 3 foreign mail-order
brides, cheated on all of them, paid off whores himself. What's that smell again? Harris is far more capable than the gangster--who's a freakin' joke of a human being. I'm pretty sure that, for starters, she'd get up and give cogent, comprehensible speeches.
You certainly care a lot about Trumps marital affairs which is odd, you do know Biden cheated on his first wife as well with the current wife / handler?

Snippets

"As we peer into society's future, we – you and I, and our government – must avoid the impulse to live only for today, plundering for our own ease and convenience the precious resources of tomorrow. We cannot mortgage the material assets of our grandchildren without risking the loss also of their political and spiritual heritage. We want democracy to survive for all generations to come, not to become the insolvent phantom of tomorrow."

"Until the latest of our world conflicts, the United States had no armaments industry. American makers of plowshares could, with time and as required, make swords as well. But we can no longer risk emergency improvisation of national defense. We have been compelled to create a permanent armaments industry of vast proportions. Added to this, three and a half million men and women are directly engaged in the defense establishment. We annually spend on military security alone more than the net income of all United States corporations.

Now this conjunction of an immense military establishment and a large arms industry is new in the American experience. The total influence—economic, political, even spiritual—is felt in every city, every Statehouse, every office of the Federal government. We recognize the imperative need for this development. Yet, we must not fail to comprehend its grave implications. Our toil, resources, and livelihood are all involved. So is the very structure of our society.

In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist. We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together."

Where you see blindness or stupidity, I instead see a certain cynical intelligence. She knows exactly what to say to curry favor with both Trump and a certain segment of her electorate.
But myself, as a believer, I am quite disturbed by the comparison between Christ and Trump. I get the point that not all convictions are based on true guilt; but this is just a statement one does not make. I find it in very poor taste

Turbo's a hypocrite. It's okay if a loser lib does something wrong he/ she/ it will hide in a corner quiet as church mice. But when a republican does something (whatever they identify as) will cry out load like a little bi###.
