I see stupidity because she is stupid. But you're right about her currying favor with the MAGA-mob. So I'll give her credit for being crazy like a fox, for an evil purpose. But she's stupidly ignorant based on her MIS-references to historical information, and now her so-called biblical knowledge.

Majorie Taylor Greene comparing Trump and Jesus exhibits an astonishing level of ignorance. First of all, Jesus wasn't a convicted felon.
In Jesus' time, Pontius Pilate was the perfect of Judea. In modern English, he was the governor. Among the duties of a Roman perfect was to function as a judicial authority. In other words, as a judge. If Greene knew her Bible as she claims, she’d know that Pontius refused to convict Jesus. Further, he symbolically washed his hands to show he disagreed with rabble-rousing mob shouting for a death sentence for Jesus. Legally speaking, Jesus never was convicted, but he was lynched by a mob motivated primarily by jealousy and hatred. Not unlike MAGA Republicans today. Which is a mob, headed by none other than Donald Trump himself. Which, by default, means that he is the very opposite of Jesus, not comparable in any sense of the word. I early on viewed Marjorie Greene as little more than a rabble rouser, a mistress of mayhem, and basically a bleached blonde dumbshell. Her Jesus - Trump comparison validates my assessment.
