2024 Recruiting Thread

The answer is a definite YES. That's why theyre here, that's what they do. Events, events, events. They've done WBB HOF events. They've smoozed the VIP room before games. They've talked to visiting recruits and taken pictures with them. They've come to practice and talked to current players. Chamique did a big autograph signing Thursday night before the game. They're constantly at Orange Mtn Designs, the LVs dedicated NIL store. I'm sure they do even more behind the scenes to massage potential donors. If the LVs have an NIL problem, it is definitely not for lack of involvement by legacy players.

Oh maybe the problem is that legacy players are actually involved? You guys are all over the place! Chamique and Candace are not in the way of the LVs being able to navigate NIL. Did you miss the very young, in touch specialist in NIL KJH just hired?

If, as rumor has it, the idea to split off LV NIL is hurting it's ability to earn competitive money, that is a problem. And whoever undertook that decision (if it happened) is who needs to get out of the way.

Again, I call upon Cora Hall to earn her recent award and clear this up for us!
It is a definite no considering the results. Results is where you get a yes or no answer. Right now our answer is a definite no because you can look at the roster and see our Nil has not worked to this point.

Kidding? Probably the last thing Jordan Horston needs right now is intensified decision-making responsibility.

Also? You could not get Jordan Walker out of Kellie's starting lineup with a stick of dynamite right now. Or probably ever.

Horston is already playing point guard, she just doesn't dribble from the baseline to the half-court line. We run most everything through her. We don't need an offensive "creating PG" that is Horston in our current system.

Horston's USG% is 31.3%. Powell and Walker are about 15%. Again, they play defense and dribble up the court. Horston is our creating point forward, and she is the one that directs traffic. When it's not Horston, it's Jackson.

Not saying you can’t support that statement but you can’t. No way to know the cost of the deals that brought last year’s portal haul.

Supposedly Cambridge was back at LSU this weekend with Justice Carlton and Amerah O’Neal for a 2nd visit. Anyone know if Cambridge is visiting TN again soon?

I almost guarantee Jaloni ends up at SC
I don't think she is going to want to go somewhere to basically sit the bench her first 3 years. Raven & Talasia Cooper will still have two years, Milaysia Fulwiley will have 3 and we all know, Dawn doesn't like to play 2 point guards at once. If Jalonie wants to sit for 3 years, SC is a good place for her. We all saw what happened with Saniya Rivers the number 3 ranked player last year. She got up out of there quickly.

If you’ve seen her play, she’s not sitting. She may not start but she’ll get her time.

As for Rivers 6-1 Bre Hall was the better player. So sometime the rankings don`t matter.

Seriously? How are they related? And how has no one ever brought this up?

Was mentioned by game commentator during a KY game who was talking about Kennedy Cambridge. I think she said they were second cousins with the Hayes girls.
Another poster said the girls all played AAU ball together and families were very close.

I suppose she is looking at both programs tonight….
Jordan Brand Secures NIL Deal With 5-Star PG Kiyomi McMiller
“McMiller is currently undeclared. However, the South Carolina Gamecocks, a powerhouse program in NCAA women’s basketball, started recruiting her in 2022.

Big opportunity tonight for the program to make her feel that TBA is the place to showcase….

Interest level by Tennessee and SC may not be very high.

Kiyomi recently released a list of her Top 25 offers. Neither the gamecocks nor Vols were listed as offers. Both are listed as merely interested by Raoul. Kiyomi McMiller - WBB Blog. I would not that Kiyomi played her 2021-2022 season at a small private school in Darlington, S.C. I would suspect that Coach Law saw her play a few times. However, no offer has ever been reported. That's a bit unusual for a talented SC high schooler. I have not seen any public mention of June visiting her games since she moved back north.

The Gamecocks have offered both Tennessee guards, Jaloni Cambidge and Imari Berry. They've also offered 6 footers, Morgan Cheli from Cali and Mikayla Blake from Jersey.

But, I have no "insider info" - if such a thing exists.
