On a side note, I’m not sure how I feel about Blanca Thomas after watching that video which was a game in January of this year. Obviously Edwards team was much stronger, so that impacted Thomas, but I guess I was expecting her to be a little more aggressive offensively. She kinda looked like just another player out there, albeit the tallest one and I am sure an excellent player when around other good teammates. Both Edwards and Thomas play together on Team USA. I need to see more film of Thomas that is not with her HS team or against that HS League she plays in, both of which are not that good. She made team USA so there has to be something there, she just didn’t show much on that video.

I have watched Blanca Thomas several times on the AAU scene, she is not offensively aggressive at all. Her defense is ok, she can block smaller players. I watched a few games where she was completely shut down by girls no bigger than 5'10 due to physicality.
I mean she is 6'5 so most colleges will be on her simply due to height, imo she doesn't compare to Edward's, strong, Carlton (some of 24 best post).
Maybe an Emily Saunders type player, nothing wrong with that at all just giving a comparison of game.

Could you imagine Uconn recruiting Emily Saunders? I have seen pictures of Geno down at Blanca Thomas's practices. Im thinking you may have seen her on a bad day or two.

They need to get Kateryna Koval on the monitor a little bit more too. She went from 17 to 3 and I think I recently saw a picture of Chamique Holdsclaw with her. If you go back in history, we always had great teams with players from the Detroit and the New York area on the team. Tonya Edwards, Dedra Charles, Dena Head, Chamique Holdsclaw, Nikkie Anosikie Shannon Bobbett just to name a few.

Ok, what do y'all think about UNLIMITED official visits?

For anyone expecting a top 5 those days are probably gone and any expecting quick commits now some of these kids that visited may wait until the last minute and take 20
trips smh...

I was fine with an increase in official visits but unlimited is way too much and over the top

This won’t be abused.. like at all…

that's what I said. In crease it to about 8-10 now the change id make it allow students official visits of their junior year. Maybe have 3 your junior year that you use or lose and have the rest of the allotment senior year.

The good thing nobody can officially visit a school more than once.

To me it needs to be limited so players/families don’t shop around. You can can take as many unofficials in HS before your Senior Year. Portal players, I’d be onboard of reducing to no more than 3 official visits to blunt the number of transfers yearly.

Wait. Is that really about to happen? Unlimited official visits? Think of the scheduling nightmares this will cause. 😲 Recruiting budgets will have to increase dramatically. Many schools will spend thousands of dollars hosting kids who have zero intention of committing there but just wanted to go somewhere and be courted. Ugh. What a mess.

Every recruit is suddenly interested in University of Hawaii. They better increase their recruiting budget tenfold.

NCAA continues its baffling trend of fixing "problems" by throwing out crazy a#s, wild wild west solutions.
