De Silva ….. ? Can you give description and more information on this player? Not in any High School list that I have ?
Portal vs HS recruiting probably isn't an issue w a few super elite like LSU (right now) SCjr, UConn. But may be for some of the rest of us. Just a question. They have nothing to do with each other, Lsu brings in top transfers and still have the number one recruiting class. If players want to come they will come and that’s it.
Figuring out that a problem exists and being able to solve it are two different things. I don't think our staff is unaware that repeated failure to close out on top recruits is a problem. And Cora has been here less than two years and has that figured out. Year 5 of Tennessee recruiting as the HC.
any money you give a freshmen recuit. pay in four = amounts . that way if theyyskip ship in a year they only have 1/4 what they where offer. stay two years get 1/2, stay three get 3/4,, go wnba or transfer portal in year four recuit never gets the last 1/4 of nil deal they agree on with the school they commited. do not front load contrack will sign bonusIt seems like we have had a handful in the last 3 years that visited multiple times and/or we got the final visit. Then crickets. It makes me think that something in the pitch is not sealing the deal with HS recruits. My guess is that it's NIL.
Maybe we don't want to commit a big NIL chunk to a HS'er when they have an easy, pain-free ability to transfer. On the other hand, you sink the NIL into portal players with multiple years left; you have a better idea of who they are and they are less likely to leave if they have to sit out a year. Maybe we have done the calculus.
NiL comes from companies, the companies can sign any player they want to represent them.It seems like we have had a handful in the last 3 years that visited multiple times and/or we got the final visit. You are entitled to your own version of ish. But for me, 29th is 30ish.

We may need to open the checkbook and get Law back here...or someone similar...This is a gut punch to Kellie....Time and money spent wining and dining her and her family..it's almost thievery...I think she knew where she was going all along.Blanca fooled both of us,,,I really felt we had a shot...sigh
