it was verified long ago. Best of luck to the young lady on getting the opportunity to play. Offers come in different ways, she could have been offered walk-on by those schools and chose not to post. Edie never posted about Tennessee until it happened although the offer was there for awhile.

That’s correct it was about Hawk, who many said here long ago she wasn’t a P5 player. As to Edie, she had low level offers MTSU, UTM, Gardner Webb and Union. And before anyone takes that as a slight it’s not, just addressing the offers she had.

Right, and in addressing the levels you called them LOW level instead of what they are actually called which are midmajor offers. Could be seen as a slight but thanks for the clarification

Only to those looking for a reason to be offended. Is midmajor somehow deemed superior in the terminology?

Basketball is not football in terms of regardless of P5, Mid-Major, etc. with the right mix of talent and exceptional coaching you build elite teams.

The previous Top 100 ESPU ranking list(s) should prove this. The best freshman in the country on the COURT last season was ranked #23 on that list as a senior coming out of HS. Started all season for Ohio State and was the best player on the court when they eliminated UCONN.

To me, the best sign of where a prospect truly falls is to look at who else is recruiting them. All the top coaches can't be wrong.

I agree... We got Rickea who was ranked in the top 5 i believe. And she is one of the best.

But then you have Jewel who was #82 and one of the best in the ACC and Wells #89 who is really good.

I think you have to have a good mix but top talent is always a good luxury

Not offended or looking to be offended. Midmajor is actually the term for that level of play. Hence, they have actual Midmajor awards which are deemed for that level. I don't know of any LOW level or low major awards by that name ? If there are forgive me but i haven't heard of any.

Becky Hammon actually has a MidMajor award named after her and it's a national honor.

So it's not about being superior or offended but more so knowledgeable and factual.

Nyla Brooks is in the Top 25, Kaniya Boyd is #29. Three spots from being a 5 star prospect.
Finley Chastain class is not ranked at this time.
Tennessee is in the pond by any logic.

i like her athleticism and upside A LOT !I don't think her shooting percentages were that great. I would love to have her under our coaches though and would love to have Shaq on the sidelines in orange (which would probably give him an allergic reaction )
