Definitely. Not throwing any of them back!

However, I still think it's important to show we can pull from the HS Big Pond as well. That's where we keep getting shut out.

1908 had it right IMO. Some big wins this season opens the floodgates to both Big Ponds. Let It Be.

I think we need some top HS talent and would love the excitement that comes along with it but it's not as important as it has been. The more NIL comes into play i can see more transfers because the kids who get glitzed and glamored and may not choose a school originally may end up being major pieces as transfers. LSUs womens basketball and i believe baseball teams were built thru the portal. Not saying it works all the time just saying times are changing.

We already have Nyla Brooks who is in that top 25 you mentioned and Finley will surely be a top 10 talent but the thing is the excitement will die down by the time they get here lol

I hope so with as prevalent as the portal is you can still have HS classes but you need overall signing classes w/ rankings.

You seem to have some extra info about the LV recruiting process than the average poster here. What of the remaining recruits do you think we have a chance with?

I'd go with Edwards, De Silva, Preston, Howell, Socka-Ngueman and McDaniel as a stretch. I also think we are in on transfer Talaysia Cooper which would he an absolute game changer. I'm a big fan of not being so worried about high school. Give me 2 or 3 solid high schoolers with a couple impact transfers each year, and let's roll!

I think we add 2-3 high schoolers and then a couple transfers. Seems to he the formula working well for many schools.

I think we have a better team this coming year than we had last year. That doesn't mean we'll have a better record in the SEC as most of the teams have really improved and we'll have some real battles. I am confident this will be the best three point shooting team in the last decade of Lady Vol teams. I think this will be one of our better free throw shooting teams as well. If I see a weakness in the team it is overall rebounding as we'll have several players that have not been big rebounders in the past. We hope that Key is capable of her past form and look to Puckett and Striplin to be vastly improved on the boards. Right now the best rebounder on the team is Jill.

Finding someone to replace what Jackson brings will be the biggest challenge for 2024. Edwards and Cooper would be a huge start in doing that to a large degree.

Four of those five are back after next season as well. So with Boyd coming in if Cooper were to transfer here were going to be quite through with wing players. Maybe add another point guard. Then your just looking at post players and we are in on four or five very good ones. Two of them and we are in very good shape for the coming seasons.
