You can win a national championship via HS recruiting alone or with the portal. I still believe a healthy dose of each is ideal. Having a foundation that you recruit and develop along with portal pieces that add depth and enhance your team seems ideal to me.

College athletics has changed so much over the years. The portal is a giant part of it now. Adjust with it or get left behind.

what will bode well for Coach K is if Rickea continues to climb in "game" and skill and finishes as strong as she is now.
Other high-potential players who are not reaching their peak will be thinking TN and its staff to be a good "finishing school"

The recruiting staff should be selling the Replacement of Rickea Jackson to Joyce Edwards. She would be the perfect type of player to come in and fill Rickea's position for the upcoming 4 years.

Looks like Kennedy Smith number 11 in 2024 is going to SC. Another huge pickup for them. Our biggest need in the class is post players and haven't heard much about any ready to commit to us at this time.

Where did you see that? I just watched her win Nike Nationals with Cal Sparks and I haven’t heard anything about her committing anywhere. I thought USCw would get her for sure.

Ball Out is saying she is leaning South Carolina and USC West is still in it as well. Those are the top two according to Ball Out.

I have a gut feeling we are going to land Clara de Silva, one of the best posts in this class too. Coach Sam heads out in a couple days across the pond to visit her again.

A player like her could be hugely underrated by recruiting services. I always look at their free throw percentage and shooting percentage both tell me she is a very good shooter. Now to see some video on her athleticism would be nice.

I have to wonder what's up with high school recruits. Do they just want to try another school then come here ? 😂

I think lots of people are in their ears. They end up somewhere then realize maybe they ought to have thought for themselves.

I’m still ok being mostly transfer U if we continue to pull 2-3 quality players with experience from the portal.

Spear and Wells are no joke. I do wish we had some younger kids to go with them, but to each their own in their own time.

I think we get 2-3 this class which with thr portal how it is, that's probably the future of recruiting. I'd like to see team recruiting rankings combine hs and transfer because that's what gives the real picture.

Same ! I think these HS kids are also going to realize with the portal and immediate eligibility they better start committing to where they want to go ... these unlimited visits could work as a negative

Edia was turning down offers. Kelly said said that when she talked to Edia Dardy dad. Alambama coach was followering Edia on twitter . Tide not top 10 school but think Edia had interested from bama. Dardy sisters mon said glad Tess & Edia not playiing each other.
