Yeah, it's tough for me to enage with WNBA content; their marketing absolutely does not connect with me. I often feel like I hear what people want it to be, rather than what it actually is. It's just a miss for me. And whether it's fair or not, the size and scope of women's college basketball feels larger in college than it does in the WNBA.
The NBA, at least, it's got it's own history and audience, but these days when I turn on an NBA game and see every other player taking three steps on a layup, or teams not being able to play defense, I just start swearing and cut the games off. It's no longer a sport. It's a marketing vehicle for a lifestyle brand and celebrity worship. The NBA learned the lesson of Michael Jordan too well.
