How has he stayed out of the transfer portal. His entire team is almost all transfers.
They are all returning portal players (even after losing Diamond and others he didn’t go for more):

Baldwin 2x
Collins 2x
Rivers 2x
Hayes 3x

Recruited:
James
Brooks (fr)
Cox (fr)

These are their 7 main players who played against us… do people even read my posts?

They were saying after losing 5 including his leading scorer he decided not to go back in and buy in to the girls he already brought in…

As much as we’d all like for most of the top players both athletically and academically to choose Tennessee — like they often did during Pat’s heydays — the reality is we aren’t often getting the best players anymore, but we ARE usually getting many of the finest young women in the country to Knoxville.

Year after year I have been amazed and delighted by the quality of the women, and their families, who are attracted to, and appreciate, the very things that make being a LVFL among the best choices (if not THE best choice), as future citizens, they could make.

Seldom have we been disappointed in the quality of the individuals who choose Tennessee, because it takes a certain quality of girl and family to appreciate the big picture of what makes for the best qualities in a program to choose from.

I cannot possibly heap enough praise on the Harpers and their staff for how exceptionally well they have fared in the areas of program culture and in ensuring everyone who proudly runs out through the tunnel wearing that Tennessee uniform will be someone we can all be proud of.

People should be careful not to minimize the importance of that. It matters a LOT. To me, anyway.

650 players in portal now, much more than the handful some are picking apart here.

What is said here is not in secret, so be sure to continue to cast doubts on our Coach, so you can complain if/when we don’t get the recruits we need.
Yeah but u can eliminate about 620 of the ones from terrible conferences, the ones who have never played, have bad stats, aren’t tall enough etc etc lol

But yea u have a point. Some names are bigger than others tho and others just won’t fit here

So if he stays out this year it will be when his new strategy started. I think it is a bad strategy for him as four of his starters are portal players. NC St is going to find it hard to get high school players to fill an entire roster and getting the elite player is. even tougher for them.
What Kellie has been trying to do is half portal and half high school and she has failed on the high school part.

I don’t disagree but we have more talent in this team than people want to admit. We weren’t just Rickea and I think it really hurt us to act like it. We need to keep developing our players.

A lot of that is on them ofc. Especially in the off season. It’s up to Harper and Co to evaluate how much each will grow

I do agree we have some glaring needs at the post that need to be addressed.

The problem with our roster is that they are all one year players going forward. So if you can find four players in the portal with better or at least the same ability you better get them or you have no roster in 2025 except three returnees and what high school players you can get.

Yeah we need youngins. That may not satisfy the masses tho. I’ll take Merkle and Oldacre Lmao run a double 6’6 zone

The only talented player we have returning is Spear, everyone else should be bench players. Not every player will develop so don’t think most will turn into all a,Erica s all of a sudden. I, telling you now Spear is it and the rest won’t be any different next year, just giving a reality check.

And if we lean on Jewel to be the savior guess what this team won’t make the tourney at all.

oops wrong thread
Here is a plan for the portal this year.

Gracie Merckle rising sophomore 6'6" 15.1 and 11 rpg could share time with Tamari if she returns or Jill. Also recruit a post player in the 2025 high school class were in on two or three.

Ruby Whitehorn also a rising sophomore is headed toward being an elite player would certainly help fill the void created by Rickea Jackson leaving.

Carter McCray also a rising sophomore 15.1 ppg and 11 rpg and 16 double doubles. She has a Pro body and is a strong inside player.

Kaylene Smickle rising junior average 16 ppg and 35 percent from the three. She is an experienced player that would start over almost everyone we have maybe everyone.

Doesn't leave you with a point guard, but the more I look into it I think Cooper is our point guard she has the handle and the passing game to be great there. Also back is Destinee Wells and Boyd could be a third option.

I think these four players improve us next season and really help along with a 2025 strong class for the teams going forward.

I’ll wait until all the players are in the portal nefore really checking everyone out, and we need a starting Pg through the portal.

She won’t be the savior, we need to fill the spots through the portal. Now if we don’t get any elite players through the portal I would agree with u.

There should be some more players, but how many more hard to say. Like Wes Moore coaches are going to try to take care of their star players and so how many will get in going forward is questionable.

Some are undecided and some players are still playing games, once all of that is done we will see more players enter.

there is a world in which we win a lot but i’m not proud of who our players and/or coach is. i wouldn’t be a season ticket holder or supporter of the BHC in that world.

Madison Hayes from Miss St
Katie Penueta from Sacramento
Also Diamond Johnson transfered in then transferred out after playing a season.
River Baldwin Florida St
Raina Perez the 5'5 pg that Moore had that played with Elissa Cuane was a transfer from Fresno St.

Diamond Johnson played two seasons with NC. State and she was a Rutgers transfer.
