wells is an experienced guard who transferred into a much bigger school. i think it’s dumb to write her off when she barely got to showcase her talent here. anyone who has followed her knows she’s a legit baller. her game against troy and notre dame is who you will see night in and night out once she’s comfortable.I wish I saw in Wells what you guys seem to see,, But so far I haven't
what am I not seeing,, aside from assist/TO margins

Could someone (please) update the available players in the portal)?
2023-24 women’s basketball transfer portal tracker - The Next
The transfer portal is here to stay in women's basketball. Keep track of everyone who enters and where they land.www.thenexthoops.com
Best players that I can find that have not committed are:
Barker
Dauda
Cameron Williams
Treasure Hunt
Aiyanna Johnson
Lashae Dwyer
Keanna Rembert
Ahray Young
Then there may be a few mid majors.
The list hasn't been updated since May 6th so some of the names have committed since then. The two big names left are Dauda and Barker.
Appreciate the list. I know about Barker but who is Dauda?2023-24 women’s basketball transfer portal tracker - The Next

Just as much into her as Barker either one really moves the needle on our roster.View attachment 640620
just had her nails done in summit blue. Getting ready for that commitment photo shoot??????? Come on now Maryam.
A rumor floating that Barker has or is visiting Tennessee ......any of you insiders have insight on that rumor ?
Yeah we need one more post for sure imo. Spearman, Hollingshed and Puckett will all get time at the 5 imo but Puckett is going to have to out her big girl pants on. With this roster she won’t be guarding on the perimeter anymore though. Which should really be a relief to her because she was not cut out for that life.
Dauda or Barker would be excellent. Both would be unreal.
Dauda and Spencer seem to have a really close connection from Arkansas. They are always love bombing each others posts. Wouldn’t be shocked to see her in Knoxville with her friend.
Barker is a mystery but she’s shared several Bible verse posts lately. So she’s really mulling something over. In the short time we’ve know Kim Caldwell she has done one thing consistently and that is give Glory to God. So that could be a really good match.
Dauda is a "get",,, a legit "get"Maryam Dauda - South Carolina Gamecocks Forward - ESPN

I guess we would see Spearman on Watkins or Feagin and Latham on Kitts. They no longer have Cardoso so we don't have to worry about her next season. You add one of those two players then you can have 40 minutes on both of those players. Spearman and Hollingshead on Watkins or Feagin and Latham or Dauda or Barker on Kitts. It would be the best we have matched up to their post players in a while.I like your post. Several good points.
Something I'm sure our coaching staff is aware of is that we need to be able to defend the 4 and the 5 positions in the halfcourt. Harkening back to last year vs South Carolina, but with our current roster, Jill and Spearman would split time defending Cardoso at the 5, but who would guard Watkins (or Kitts) at the 4? Puckett can give us 25 minutes. Who is covering the other 15 minutes? What if Jill, Puckett, or Spearman get banged up or get in foul trouble?
Barker and Dauda would be the perfect solution. Is it too much to ask?
If Feagin ever gets in shape...she will be an absolute terrorI guess we would see Spearman on Watkins or Feagin and Latham on Kitts. We figured it out in that last game if we could've made two free throws, or they get called for a double dribble, or we at least look like were trying to guard on the last play of the game. Certainly we need one of them, but Spearman, Hollingshead, and Latham give us a solid three against them. Puckett would have to play a few minutes and us hope for the best. Add one of those two players were quite ready to defend their post next season.I agree. I was using SC's roster from last year with no adjustments because it is hard to picture how they will roll out against us this year. Given their makeup from last year and considering how we would defend against it with our current roster there is a glaring need for Dauda, Barker, or both. Heaven help us if Darby has to guard Watkins for 10+ minutes.
